If anyone is thinking of moving over to a home compressor trust me go for a Hills.
I have done like a lot of other users - hand pump, tank, Chinese compressor and finally a HILLS.

The unit I bought at the end of last last year and I had a issue on and off with the relief valve. A Email was sent and picked up on the first day upon their return after Christmas. Within 3 days I had a replacement part and all's good.

Compare that to the Chinese one from Amazon that failed after 8 months, it took me 3 months going round in circles before they would except the return for a refund.

THANK YOU @HillPumps

Agreed, get a Hill. Had mine three years and is still going strong with the benefit of additional filtration.
Due to my bolloxed right hand and wrist (too much wanking), should it go tits-up I would have no qualms in getting it back to the manufacturer @HillPumps for a rebuild and update.

Hi,
Our current model is the Evo-310. Previous models were the EC-3000 and EC-3000 Evo. The current Evo-310 has a white shroud and black frame, previous models were green and grey or green and black. RRP is £924.99 but you will find slightly cheaper from retailers both online and in store if you shop around. We have never sold them at £120 or anywhere close to that so not sure about ones priced at that stating they are any version of our compressor, unless maybe used been sold very cheap? You may see it priced at around £1,000 including the Dry-Pac Pro as a bundle. If unsure about any you see online feel free to contact us to check.

Pretty much as others have already posted, the only thing I can add really is I would always recommend getting the unit with a dry-pac even if you have no steel cylinders.
Again as Hills themselves have already said you can get slightly cheeper from some sellers, in my case I tied the purchase in with a deal on black Friday.

My Tuxing is amazing for £189 i contacted them via e mail regarding peoples concerns on here and there response was you can add another online water filter which ive bought for £15. regarding filling a 4 litre air cylinder , they said no problem ... just keep topping it up :) , ive a stock of filters and a bleed screw to empty each time i use it , theres no issue of water entering my air cylinder or gun cylinders .
After reading the reviews on the Hills for £1000 and Tuxing at £189 id go Tuxing all day long.
And size and weight wise , have you seen the Hills compressor its the size of a house generator.

As someone who owns both and has filled a 2.17ltr carbon cylinder with the Tuxing, filling a 4ltr with a Tuxing from scratch is as hilarious as it is dumb, also you best stock up on rebuild kits as it would take you hours and not many sessions to require a rebuild.

By all means enjoy the Tuxing, it’s a great little compressor for direct to gun fills, especially for the money they go for, but understand that it simply isn’t comparable to the Hills in terms of output, speed, noise or capability. The Hills may not make a lot of financial sense, but I look at it as buying back hours of my life filling individual guns and doing cool down sessions in between, and on that basis, it’s worth every penny and a lot more.

I had a Hills compressor and it was great until I bought my Huben K1 & GK1 and needed something that could fill up to 350 Bar with no issues.
I bought an AEA compressor and have been using it every other day now for about seven months, and although the Hills was slightly quicker when filling, the now no maintenance required and full 350 Bar fills are perfect for what I need.
I'm not knocking the Hills but I do prefer the AEA.

Can I ask what the issue you had with the relief valve was ? Mine occasionally goes into a cycle where the relief valve starts to trigger every approx 5 seconds as its filling. All I do is pause the fill for a few mins and start it again and because it does not do it again for a bit I forget to contact Hills until it does it again and I kick myself

Just had a look at AEA compressors on-line, are they 12v only?
EDIT: Just seen the 220v output.
Is AEA a unique product or a remake of an existing compressor?
