Hill Pumps - WOW!

Great to hear about their service 👌
I might eventually buy one of their pumps but only just got a PCP so have to have a cheaper compressor for now😩
Want to make sure it’s going to be worth the expense!
Shame they don’t do something a little cheaper around the £500 mark, would definitely buy one then!

Have a look on eBay I just bagged a new Evo delivered with a 1 year guarantee for £700 all in :)

Another shout for @HillPumps and best fittings.
After a year and a month I attended to the weep from the sight glass . But it was the big o ring . With a couple of emails instant positive response new o ring fill port and bottles of oil sent out gratis 👍🏼🙏🏼 . I finally got the job done very easy and interesting. This would be my 3rd lot of oil going in as I changed the first at 1hr and the 2nd lot when I changed the o ring and sight glass . Some black stuff in the old oil non magnetic 🧲 . Job done ran it up to 150 bar no leaks . So as the day was cold 11 Deg and RH was down to 55% I topped my 12L tank from 235 to 301 bar . A big ask . Chugged away for quite a while stopping regularly for temp . But did it no problem. Very very impressed . Some pics .IMG_20250220_152356_468.jpg

Changed my dripac fillers but they looked as good as new not sure if they show discoloration when damp/full 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
 
A big credit to Hill pumps, 👍.

Helped me out a couple of times, latest was a week and a half ago, crank oil case started leaking, rear seal. Probably the only spare part I don't have. Flook.

Missus was in the UK, I'm in Bulgaria. Email to Hill about a replacement seal, ask for my address and sales would give me a quote.

No quote arrived, email back to Hill, reply, seal was sent out yesterday.

How do I pay, no problem reply Hill, FOC.

Well done Hill, a big thanks. My compressor lives,😉😁.

I'm not worthy of a full crank case replacement, my nose isn't getting brown for the sake of a seal. 😉

Plan B was to fire up the Yong heng, it still works. 😁

Happy days, I probably own the oldest Hill and Yong Heng compressors currently in operation.

Long gone are the old forum suggestions that a home compressor would blow me and mankind to kingdom come 😉😁
 
You know when you see the SCS/DFS adverts and wonder if anyone has actually ever paid full price for a sofa? Well I just dug out the next bottle of oil for service due next month, along with the silicon as it's dropped just below the line, and noticed that when I ordered the last bottles of oil, I grabbed a spare sight glass, and it came with a rear crank case o-ring, that I paid for 😭
