HELP - My keyboard has gone weird

Luckily I have two computors because my PC's usb keyboard has gone weird and stopped typing. If it accepts any letters it's only a few and at random. I have gone into Settings and tried numerous things but to no avail though, when this happened earlier in the week, I was able to sort it out. Can anyone tell mehow to return the keyboard to basic, default(?) settings as this option is not shown. Neither is Update Driver or anything other than a welter of options, none of which I want. Ta very much.

That's odd. I tried switching browsers from Firefox to Chrome and the problem is now cured, apparently. Time to bin Firefox, I think.

That sounds a bit sketchy.
I wonder what browser pages you had open at the time.
You could reset Firefox (export/backup bookmarks if you have a lot), at least clear the cache.

I switched to Waterfox some time back, as I loath Chrome, don't like Firefox's politics but am quite used to the interface.
Also check your antivirus is updated.

--edit-- This was a security exploit only just fixed, make sure whatever you use it is up to date.
