Christmas is coming and i've been asked to write a list...

Anyone know what the Harkila stuff is like? Hoping you're going to say indestructible, washed like an old rag and a pleasure to wear.. it should be at the price?

Any experiences?

Oh. Well that's encouraging. They obviously still make it in house and haven't 'outsourced....

I'll have a look thanks,

..

Brilliant stuff, I have been wearing it for years and its made to last.. expensive but I have yet to wear any out, so worth the dosh

My wife who has bugger all interest in country sports also has loads, I often go up to Malmo guns and she always insists on coming with me as they have a large clothes department.. always costs me a fortune:eek:

I'm very much a buy once cry once person 🙂

Re. The ladies...I know that feeling buddy... it's only fair with what we spend though😅

I have had my Harkila jacket for about 10 years; it's a great jacket —it's heavy but robust. Also have a fleece which is also hard-wearing and very warm.
Expensive, but in my opinion, it's worth it.

Really good quality staff although as some people have said can be quite expensive. Also have a look at Fortis

2 pair of pants, a jacket and baseball style hat, all fantastic, warm, dry most importantly and the jacket isn’t as heavy as some I’ve owned as they do a good job of repelling the rain

I've got a couple of full Harkila suits and a few shirts. They're pretty indestructible and absolutely waterproof no matter what. Not cheap but had them for years and years.

The boots aren't anywhere near as good quality though.

I think there was a point when the quality of the boots slipped, I have two pairs the same and got the second of them when the first were about eight years old in anticipation of the first pair failing, the older pair are probably 20+ years old and I just dub them with mink oil before the game season, in late November before I go to Scotland and again in February, still waterproof and warm. Tread is getting low on both pairs but a third pair I bought years later are no where near as comfortable. 🙁

I bought a pair of their boots 3 years ago and they are great. Very comfortable, lightweight, warm and waterproof. They cost £240 but since I don't get out much they'll last a long, long time. Can't fault them.

A mate of mine had some boots & they leaked like an old Morris Marina, he took them back for a refund.

The Owner of the Brand ( and many others in his portfolio) is very , very rich indeed! The Clothing is just the thing to show off at a Posh shoot , though there are better to be had for a lot less If you don't place Value the really great branding
