Anyone on here have any experience in either or both of these sites? Is one any better than the other?

and generally the genuine sellers on there are asking 1500 for they're bsa ultras/gamo's with richter optik 3-9 scopes and such like 😂
So I might actually get some genuine interest in either or both of my Ultras at a fraction of those prices? Or will it be assumed I'm just another scammer?

Never used Gunstar and it’s a while since I used Guntrader, but I have sold a couple of rifles on there, no fuss, no problems and achieved reasonable prices. Problem with all sites for buying and selling anything is you do get scammers along with the bottom fishers trawling for bargains to resell at a higher price. One thing I would say is make sure the cash is in the bank before parting with anything
Places such as this site seem to have more genuine buyers and are safer as most people on here have been members for a long time

The MeWe app also allows the selling air guns but never tried it or gunstar/guntrader. I would recommend a face to face deal as I don’t believe any of the sites offer any insurance or guarantee of any sale done on their sites.
You could try to sell it through a local RFD mine does accommodate private sales at 10% of the sale price if your not trading in.

I put three on gt last year all selling within a week all buyers picked up paying c.o.d, one from as far away as liverpool.
I would not have posted items so collect only on gt
I would advertise first though on agf they can if priced correctly sell very quickly and without any hassle with immediate payment.
Paul..

Used Gunstar a few times with zero hassle when things haven’t sold on here, it definitely seems to have more views/traffic as they seem to sell faster at the same price

I think the difference is we all have what we want or are looking for a bargain so sales can be different elsewhere where someone is starting out 🤷🏻‍♂️

Have used Gunstar to successfully sell stuff, no issues.

GunTrader gets more traffic as more stuff listed on there but I won't use them to sell as their business practices are dishonest plus they like to have regular data breaches and site problems due to abortive updates, so I won't give them my money

From my experience both appear to be run out of an offshore teenagers bedroom on a shoestring ie not very well.

I'll source a purchase from either site

There are other sites such as TriggerTriggers, I'm sure other posters will recommend other alternatives.

I would ignore comments about scammers, they exist on every website gun related or not and in every avenue in life so just apply the usual buyer/seller beware approach.

Yes, scammers are a scourge on pretty much any selling site. I live in a village with a population of c230 and I am staggered at the number of 'buyers', many of them residing in countries so small I had to google to see if they were even real and not one of Saturn's moons and with names that if permitted in Scrabble would deliver game-winning scores, who all just happen to have a brother/sister/mother/aunt's live-in-lover living in the next street who will pop round to collect the item just as soon as I furnish the buyer with my bank details.

I have bought and sold through this site, for which I am very grateful, and they've all gone well, perhaps fared a bit better as a buyer than a seller, swings and roundabouts. However I have one item that I was assured would be no problem to sell on that has had one 'offer' that I'm not convinced would have completed even if I had been prepared to accept the 73% loss.

I’ve bought and sold a couple through Gun Trader with zero issues, and genuine buyers.

But, you need to be VERY careful to get all of the gun details correct and photos uploaded properly first time as amending a listing is nigh on impossible and support from Gun Trader is non existent.

Bought one recently via Gun Star (RFD) with no issues.

I’ve bought and sold on guntrader, to be honest I’ve found guns generally sell better on there when they haven’t sold on here. Always face to face though.

That's my experience, too - barely a sniff on some well priced stuff on here but sold straight away at full asking on GT - but we're all tightwads after bargains on here and base the prices we want to pay on the cheapest one recently sold 😂

I have sold a couple of guns on Guntrader - all went smooth, agreed a price, met up and was paid cash on collection.

Is there an air rifle equivalent to Parker's for car valuations?
