Guess I won’t be shooting for a bit

Gent on this forum current motorcycle thread, said his late 50's aged biker mate, lost both legs being hit in a non fault RTA.. Point being there is there is always someone worse off, all count ourselves blessed, if never having a bad accident./broken bones.. best wishes for recovery .. at least the forum giving Mr sabc some great support... hope a little progress for you every day, on recovery... pics look like it must be very painful..

Our not the full ticket neighbour (thankfully property unattached to us) has the ridge tiles on his roof starting to go (and one is off) and my master builder friend quoted him £120 to do a concrete ridge tile roof repair- which he says he cant afford- so just leaves it. The house is a total neglected mess, with about five missing tiles and going at the corner.. I am tempted to try and do, as cant park my car under a roof with loose hanging ridge tiles... but 25-30 feet up a ladder over concrete and not being used to working at heights- no chance, not worth the risk... if I fall and break my legs, I might end up having an accident too.. its all to easy to slip and trip, home or work accident etc., let alone RTA. :(

Dam! That looks painful mate, all the best and I hope you make a full and quick recovery.

How’s it going @sabc, on your feet yet? My recent say in hospital - I had free WiFi, very much appreciated, but anything with ‘gun’ in the title was a no-no so it’s possible you won’t be seeing these messages.

I’m on the mend slowly. Had three bouts of surgery so far. Got one more Thursday to mend the eye socket and eyelid . Hopefully all going well I’ll be home Friday albeit with metal scaffolding still there for 6 weeks or so.

Good to hear you are on the mend- Best wishes - take it easy! Good luck for Thursday and your home recovery :)

Here we are 11 days after my accident at work, and I have finally been able to concentrate on (see) all your comments. Many thanks.
I’ve had three surgeries on the arm so far with another on my eye socket eyelids tomorrow.
The good news is if they’re happy with how things are going I’ll get home on Friday even with this metal work still attached.
All I’ve got to do now is work out which pistol will be easiest to use with only one hand. Cocking/loading will be the hard bit. I think the wife would soon get fed up doing it for me.
The rifles will have to stay in the rack for now.

Every gentleman shooter should have a ghillie to load for him.

Please to see/read you’re on the mend and fingers crossed the escape committee works as you’re hoping.

This doesn't look a lot different to all the scaffolding holding you together bud , pretty sure one of the handy lads on here could find some way to integrate the two . Joking aside mate glad your on the mend .fwb-800xftrhl-2.png
