Guess I won’t be shooting for a bit

After a wee accident I’ve had it’s going to be difficult for sure.
I’ve smashed the right eye socket it’s still needs surgery and I’ve broken my left humerus currently being held together with I can only describe as scaffolding. Once there sure they’ll be no infection then they’ll use plates and screws to region the bone. At least my nose is now back where it should be. I can assure you there’s nothing funny about breaking your humerus .
It’s not a pretty sight but here you go a couple of photosView attachment 815483 onView attachment 815484
Apparently not allowed under NSRA rules as I’ve found out today.

Just take it easy and one day at a time. Fingers crossed for recovery. Count your blessings that none of us thread starter included were in a totally life changing situation with no chance of recovery or worse, for example, major RTA where one couldn't make it out the car. Luckily I've never broken a bone thus far, but a gent pictured here that I trained with ( I was in one very large Martial Arts organisation 1990 to early this year and have all my licences in my book to prove). a gent who emigrated, found out last year, was in a bad Industrial accident, broke many major bones, arms, eye socket, ribs, facial injury - all sorts- he was one tough man- used to service major machinery and we think was possibly hydraulic failure on something that smashed into him and send him flying..

So you are not alone, and although we can only empathise, things can and do happen. Fingers crossed for you and for speedy recovery. :(

Jeez! Who'd you p*** off??!!!

Hope surgery goes ok and you're as comfortable as possible considering.

My best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery

(If you persistently complain of pain they'll give you something to make the days float by...)
