An employee claims they come here at the lowest limit for the countries they pass through and the lowest will be Germany (7.5 joules) and they then turn them up for our limit when they get here.

Try and read this wall of text .

or here where I broke it up so I could read it easier. .

Post 14 in that thread mentions them coming via Germany hence needing turned up once they come here .

Not sure why SGC get such a bad rap. I own 5 fx rifles sub 12 to FAC and all bought new from Hadfields Gun. All came at the correct and sub 12 were not underpowered just right.
Had an issue with my FAC Panthera the valve stem bent after 2 years. It was shipped to SGC and fixed within a week or so. Can’t fault Hadfields who dealt with SGC.

Been in my local RFD when a guy was in there talking to the owner about his on going issue with "fx seller" so a bit weary, hence the question

In general it's a full power and low power version made.

Both versions are geared further towards it's destination market. UK in this case requires anti tamper fitted as an example, not present on restricted versions for the Swedish market. Full power versions for Japan has 5 shot magazines etc...

Yes, it’s SGC - Sportsman Gun Centre. They’re one of the most unreliable companies I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with. Closely followed by FX!
With respect I don't agree with any of this. I've been buying from SGC for many years, usually the Exeter or Dorchester shops, and in that time I've found the service I have received to be pleasant and very good. I've bought a number of rifles from them and any concerns I have had have been dealt with promptly. With regard to FX rifles, I have bought FX rifles from SGC, The Airgun Centre and Livens - I have never had a problem with any of them. I have an original FX Verminator MKI that I bought from the Airgun Centre the week they were released, must be about 14 years ago now I guess, and after all those years its still shoots well and the only problem I've ever had is a seal that needed replacing in 2021 because it was worn. I'm currently lucky enough to own 2 Impact M4's in .177, a standard barrel model and one of the limited edition Micro's and they are both well made, easy to handle, have proved to be reliable thus far and are both very accurate now they are set up.

I fail to see why so many people seem hell bent on continually slagging FX as a brand down - don't get me wrong, as with all mass produced goods there will be failures amongst their rifles, but I've had more issues with AA and Weihrauch rifles I've owned than I've had with any of my FX's.

When you have one of their employees posting on an open forum that if you cut a barrel down in size you lose your twist rate then it may make people think they have idiots working for them .

Ok so how much barrel was left as it was very short so out comes the tape measure. HW35K barrel is 16" and i now have a barrel that is just a smidge under 12".
Now alarm bells are ringing so get a cleaning rod and brass brush, mark the rod top centre and pull through the barrel to find the mark only travels just over half a rotation. Test several times and same result so now he has lost his twist rate and answer to inaccuracy.

You wont lose your twist rate if you cut it down , it stays the same .

Even when he was told this he came back and said he had lost his twist rate Homer face palm

Not the sort of person I would like working on my rifles if he can't understand the basics.

Look on the BBS for the Ruined HW35 and you will see it.

I have had great dealings with Hadfields Josh and up and down with SGC although Connor who runs the workshop has been excellent 👌

I have a read a lot of negativity towards FX, My fx dreamline has been completely flawless. Probably the most consistent rifle I own. Great trigger too and the accuracy is bang on.

As others have already stated in #8, I also don’t agree with this at all 👎

I’ve just been to read it but unfortunately like many they write a long winded post with no paragraphs….. I get fed up and stop reading but I got the gist.

For some reason he always did that and I had to edit it to read it .

I have dealt with SGC in the past regarding my Pards.
I have received excellent service and in one instance something not purchased from them.
