FX Micro.......Form cheek piece

Good morning from sunny Norfolk. Purchased a Form cheek piece for my FX ....however the original screws will not fit ( length wise ) the obvious answer is to buy longer ones ......but has anyone gone down the same route and if so what length / source did you use please.

Originals are m3x8

I have a form cheek piece on mine and personally I didn't have any issues.

If you go bigger m3x10 should be enough, one thing to note is the original cheek piece is some form of plastic the form is obviously wood.....

I did notice when screwing it on n off that tight is tight anymore and it will compress wood being soft and all.

dont crack what little wood there is at the bottom of that hole .

not that much if the screws are only 8mm long

Good point ...I think getting longer ones is a safer route.

Yh didn't go mad on it got to tight n noticed the next 1/4 was just compressing the laminate definitely didn't get to the point of real damage

For the cost tbf I'd like to see some proper stainless steel inserts
