Update: range: 20 yards; 10 shots per group

Tested my newly acquired Impact with slugs and AA Diabolo 8.4gr pellets. The results are as follows for all you statistics sluts:

Nice work - seems like some reasonable results over the chrono with the lighter slugs, considering the usual issues to be expected when using these at 12ftlb.

I suspect the less-invasive nature of the rifling in the STX barrels helps with this. Shame they didn't group as well as the AADF - what range were the groups shot at, and how many shots per group?

Cool - one would hope the gun's capable of better than that at 20yd; although depending on the rest employed it could be open to a fair bit of driver error. I'm guessing the rear wasn't supported during testing..?

Of course not, I’m a crude operator! 😳

I use my guns for hunting and not as sophisticated as you bench shooters lot.

Not too much of a drop in the aim for the heavier pellets. Much tighter on the Diablo's. Nice groups btw.

Is your Impact a new gun?
FX guns from new can improve if you clean the barrel.
Push the range out if you can. At 20 yards you are not getting a true accuracy test.

Thanks for the tips. That’s the plan. This was just to satisfy my curiosity.

I was not comfortable with the scope. Will be testing different scopes with it.

i am trying to sell up some of my rifle to get a FX ,Not sure what cal yet But it will be in FAC 👍

Worth every penny. I gave that one up to a friend in a swap. But got a Panthera now. Awesome hardware.
 
This rifle is on my list to own at some point. Looks like the groups are nice and tight.
