Huge Congrats to Lando Norris on his first f1 World Championship Title. Well done and deserved IMHO.
McLaren almost made a hash of it and threw it away in the latter half of the season, (almost), but he stuck in there and won it.

So glad that Max VonCrashen did not get his 4th title. I know, i know that, "technically" he already has 4, but one of them was quite literally stolen from Lewis (2021) so as far as I'm concerned he only has three legit titles.

I think Lando can win several Titles if he plays his cards right, and he's a nice guy too.

Cue the F1/ Lewis haters.......

Yep, was unusual to have three potential World Champs.
McLaren showed why not having a no' 1 driver hurts you in the drivers championship, as they end up taking away points from each other, not such an issue in the constructors championship though.

I know Lewis was not in the fight and it has been a very dissapointing season for him, do not like seeing him so dejected ..is it time for him to retire?

No, he can still win races IMHO, and still has another championship in him I think, given the right team/car. Not sure if that team/car is Ferrari though. They seem to be the kiss of death for ex World Champs, (Alonso, Vettel, etc).
Its all change next year with the new rules, regs, cars, etc so who knows, Ferrari could be in with a shout, so I'd at least wait until next years season.
Ferrari don't seem to want to take his advice though, he has apparently given them lots on things that worked at McLaren and at Mercedes (both World Champ teams) but they seem reluctant to take his considerable advice, based on his many titles and experience?

Excellent result for Lando and well deserved.

If max had won it would’ve been an incredible comeback. Not a big fan of his but he is undoubtedly a great.

Sad for Oscar but I’m sure he’ll do it in future.

Next year will see them all starting with the new spec cars so interesting times ahead.

I’d love to see Lewis take his 8th and then bow out.

C4 - Mark Webber in tonight’s rerun said one of the best overtakes was MV on LH44 in ‘21.

At that point I turned to our lass in utter disbelief. I’ve lost all faith, from that moment forward, in MW and whatever he says from now on.

Ferrari stopped development of SF25 in April. (LH had already served his purpose in increasing the bank balance/share price, a more sceptical me thinks they also held him in check, regards his legacy and theirs)

Well done to Landon Norris.
Will be interesting to see who come out on top in 2026 with all the new rules and very different cars. At least DRS is gone no more DRS trains it will be all down to aerodynamics it will be interesting how Aston Martin will fair with new car designed by Adrian Newley

DRS is dead - long live the new DRS 😂 with slit gaps in both front and rear wings.

No more DRS, introducing X and Z modes

From 2026, DRS will be replaced by a 'manual override engine mode' which provides a temporary boost in hybrid power. When the cars are at around 200mph, the speed will taper off due to the new engines, but the override button will give drivers more electrical power for longer. This will likely only be allowed when a car is within one second of another.

In addition, the cars will have two states at all times: 'Z-mode' and 'X-mode'.

Z-mode means the front and rear wings are closed which generates more downforce for the corners. In X-mode, the drivers can open the flaps which will reduce drag and increase speed.

X-mode will only be allowed at certain points of the track and is likely to be forbidden in wet conditions.

Without wishing to seem a hater....I’, SO glad Verstappen did not win the WC......he’d be insufferable. I’m very proud of both Lando, Oscar and McLaren for their well deserved constructors win, and more so that another British driver is WC......at last something positive in the news about Britain.

Why would Max be insufferable? He never brags, he's quite a level headed individual and gives praise to others where praise is due, and he's a doting father. What's not to like, apart from his seemingly impossible talent.

With Horner gone and no longer deflecting blame onto other competitors or blaming "harsh" stewarding, and normalising Max's aggression, I've started to see Max in a new light.

Still glad he didn't win this year though, and I'd be happy to see RBR's powertrain being a flop in 2026.

Great win for Lando!
