My question to the well versed in such matters - what should a well set up , leather sealed HW 35 run at, - velocity wise, in .22 guise ? If not asking too much, let us use 16 grain AA & 14.35 grain. Webley" skeeters" as a baseline. I need to do some math re: sights, your input would be most helpful & appreciated mucho.

Morning, Chris. I'd be expecting somewhere in the region of 9.5-10.5 ft/lbs from a .22 35 running leather. That's 517-544 fps for the AA and 546-574 fps for the Mosquito. Very much a ballpark guess though...

Yep agree with RW above. The one I ran through the chrono was averaging 10 ftlb with AADF 16gn. I’d have to check my notebook to confirm fps of those, express and ftt that I put through it.

Despite the weather I trust all is well in Norfolk. Yes the 97 , well you know when you sell something then regret it and re buy the same model at a later date, well that’s the story of the 97. I’ll do the same with a mk 2 tx soon too

The general consensus is that if you've got an old 35 and it's just breaking double figures without throwing a wobbly then you've got a good'un.

That's clever Dave. I might have a MK11 Spare you might know the gun. It has a terrible old knackered spring.
Many times I have (A) sold and bought and even (B) bought, sold and bought again. The same gun.
Even recently (A) MK1 TX (B) MK11 TX and again (A) a 97K.
And most recently an absolutely wonderful MK111 .22 TX which I am now the third and fifth owner.
Andy Black Max has just finished it a week ago. It's better than a new TX by a Country Mile.
Don't tell Hairy Arms. Mica was the second owner.
I think I've had at least three guns from Hairy.
He's never bought anything from me though!!

My '77 export with 19" Barrel ran at 11.2 with the original spring & leather piston washer after a relube & soak of the old washer in hempseed oil which i prefer to neatsfoot as it lubricate better & less dieselling. Very good on salads too!
