i been looking at one of these i have fx impact m3 so think would look fab..

They do look awesome on the more tactical style rifles like the impact m3. I am used to it now on the ProSport and would not change it for anything, even if someone offered me a 3k scope, because it is just awesome.

@MoTo you will need an adapter base as the mount for the immersive scopes are all Picatinny. As the body of the scope is 30mm, you could remove it from its base and mount on standard 30mm rings, however you lose the base adjustment which I found to be really handy, as you can then have almost full elevation adjustment for those longer shots. I used the hawke adapter base, but others do them also and think Eagle vision do some lower profile ones than the hawke I used.

If you look at the beginning of the part 2 video below, it shows the adapter base and the adjustments I made so it looked a bit nicer.

In the video he says they can be adjusted for 11mm dovetail rails. I tried that & wasn't happy with the fit. I was only checking if the scope would interfere with the magazine when adjusted for eye relief so it wasn't a major concern. I would have ordered a single BKL ring if I had decided that scope was best for the rifle in question.

I can't say if the adapters I had were the exact same as what TJ shows in the video. The one supplied with the IO may offer more adjustment. I just happened to have my own.

Thank you for the videos and detail, I’ve been reading quite a few of your posts as I begun looking into the Element variation and you had me convinced that this was the one to go for.

Side note - the MTC version is x10 fixed magnification - is that correct? Looking at the weights it seems the lightest but not sure I’m into the fixed scope.

Looking at your video at 30m I was hoping that was the sort of magnification at the 50m mark and it now makes me wonder if I’m better going for something else.

Edit: I’ve just watched it again on the you tube app and I’m perhaps talking nonsense even at 50m it’s reasonable and I will only be plinking up to 30m max I would say with pest control anywhere between 5-25m.

Not too sure on the MTC version magnification, but am sure someone would know. The element 5x30 is an awesome scope and ideal for what you have described using it for. The wide field of view is great for hunting/ pests and one of the great benefits of prismatic’s. If you have ever viewed the ‘cutting the deck’ thread then you would have seen I have sliced playing cards up to 100 metres using this scope so it is more than capable.

Well I’ve been round the house the past week looking at all sorts of scopes at various price points. Almost landed on the HYPR-7 but I do not like the 3 year warranty so instead I’ve just minute ordered an Element Optics Immersive 5x30 in MRAD form.

The immersive optics 5x30 pro was tempting as it can be had for a very keen price just now but not a huge fan of their reticles and again the shorter warranty.

Final decision came down to 5x30 vs 10x40 but hopefully I’ve chosen correctly!

Having bought both i can confirm the element x5 is the better of the 2. The x10 isnt a bad scope but the x5 has the eye relief and a much better reticle. Provided you dont need the magnification the Element immersive x5 is the better scope in my view

I’m only ranging up to 28m max in the back garden so the x5 seemed better for pest control. I will do some informal plinking and although this is going to be plenty at say 20m I still would have liked a bit more magnification.

I was almost going for the Helix HDLR 2-16-50 but now with no real need I really fancy the Theos 2-10-42 FFP. That dream will keep for a while - an expensive scope for my abilities no doubt and I’ve a house to renovate so felt wrong splurging further.

The scope arrived today, very pleased that I went for the 5x30 - it looks like it’s going to fit my requirements very well.

Just waiting for my wife to bring in some batteries to try the illuminated reticle out, easily pleased by all accounts!
