Thanks! It’s a first for me. Not ashamed to say he put me in tears when I got in. Couldn’t even tell you last thing that made me cry!
Going to spoil him until we say bye. There was options mentioned of cutting chest right open, chemo and a load of other stuff. I’m not willing to put him through that. Not at all later stage in life!!

He’s 10. I know people who have lost dobes to DCM at half his age. I’m blessed to have had him for these years.
I have a young lab too who often tests my patience. She was on peg with me yesterday. The way I handled her was so calm and patiently and in return we both had a great day. I’ve always said I’ve learnt more from the dobe than he’s learnt from me. Now my lab benefits from what he’s taught me. I hope my approach with her remains like this.

Some breeds have short spans and not meaning Doberman as I don't know much about the breed- one gent on here posted a family dog loss at a very early age- three or something. Sad

Lovely lab. Sad time for you with your ten year old though. :(

Cheers. Yeah some dobes can go past 14. Some dont make past 4 if they get dcm. I’m blessed to have got 10 so far!
I bought him the comfiest bed earlier - he doesn’t usually have fluffy ones as is know to shred them but I don’t care. I’ll even be sharing my venison back straps with him and I don’t share those with anyone 😂

I was down Hampshire last year, Proteck Supplies Bognor Regis, to buy my second hand Dominator- nice rural part of the UK. Just look after your Doberman and enjoy your time with him. ;(
