Do you shoot on an "In" breath or on an "Out" breath?

Do you shoot whilst holding your breath, and if so on an "in" or an "out" breath?

Simple question, when lined up on the target and ready to shoot, do you.... (see poll)
Hold your breath before pulling the trigger?
or
Not hold your breath at all and just continue breathing as you pull the trigger?

If you do hold your breath, do you....
Hold on an "In" breath?
or
Hold on an "Out" breath?

My understanding is that if your hold your breath on an "in" breath then you tend to tense up, which is not what you want when shooting.
Whereas if you hold your breath on an "out" breath, then you tend to relax.
Obviously if you hold your breath for too long, eg: more than a few seconds, then you tend to tense up again anyway.

Cheers

I never really think about it when shooting prone or off sticks but if I'm shooting offhand I concentrate that much I tend to forget to breathe so I have to take the shot quickly or pass out😂

So you don't hold your breath, just breath slowly and time the release. To me thats option 1, eg: don't hold my breath?

I release the shot at the bottom of the outbreath , the first option implies squeezing the trigger randomly at any point during the breath cycle which is something entirely different ... ;)

Something like this, now i just shut my eyes :D

Try to keep breathing shallow and take the shot on the out breath but try not to think about it too much and take the shot some what quick so not to get into over thinking
