Do they have a gents?

Some of my old school mates and I go on holiday occasionally.
"Pit Stops" - or something similar sounding - are very frequent.

It really mind over matter however If you don’t drink any liquids or very little you won’t need to pee. So if you’re going on a long journey just don’t drink anything. You can always have a drink when it’s more convenient and your close to a loo.

Prostrate problems can stop bladder being fully emptied. Not drinking will not prevent the need to pee.
Suggest that in addition to pee bottle, a blanket or large towel can best disguise the act when stationary in traffic.
Before I got sorted, I found a few litres of low alcohol beer in the evening, leading to a good pee before bed, helped me sleep longer than
when I refrained from an evening drink.

I would of phoned but I was asking at 7.50 pm, good chance they were shut. Did not know I could go till tonight, I did take the time to check opening times AND see any mention of gents. Can not phone prior to leaving because they open at 10.30 I would be leaving way before that. When you get older with waterworks issues you will find journeys are not as enjoyable.
There's a tesco around the corner. Could stop there before going to Crawley surplus....
I strongly suggest you do, because you'll lose the contents of you bladder once you get inside....you'll be that excited!

As you have discovered, there is a lot of stupid "advice" out there and those who have Prostate problems find their own ways to deal with it.

Prostate sufferers need to pee periodically - not necessarily related to the quantity of urine present.
Bladder can be irritated if higher concentration stays in there - not good, similar symptoms to Cystitis.

In my case the incomplete emptying caused by my very enlarged Prostate gland resulted in urine retention leading to 3 urgent admissions to Hospital ITU - being an ideal breeding ground for bacteria and resulting in a toxic confusional state which is just like being drunk but not fun.
My Blood Pressure dropped dangerously low without my being aware of it.
Worse still, one of the bacteria which can take up residence can cause Endocarditis - not something you want at all!

Not being properly hydrated can cause all kinds of problems - starting with awful headaches and going on from there to affect attention etc.

My operation has been a complete success in preventing any further emergencies for over a year now - I have returned to good health in that area, thankfully.

Basically get your Medical Advice from professionals and not random, failed comedians on the Internet.

Agree with this 100 per cent, enlarged prostate is a bugger, once I had the op all good, and I do't want to frighten anyone but prostate cancer has little to no symptoms. Get it sorted sooner rather than later.
My brother in law only found out he had cancer because he was offered a half price health check ( he said full price he wouldn't have bothered) They said 3 months later would have been too late. That was nearly 7 years ago , he's still here and he's clear.

Agreed.
I was monitored for potential Cancer for a long time including biopsies.
A good mate overcame his anxieties after seeing how relieved I was at getting my results.
He had an aggressive form of Cancer which was caught in time, fortunately but our symptoms were identical.

As someone with a wife of a certain age and who regularly travels moderate distances with her, I suggest you plan your route and note where the supermarkets and Macdonalds along the way are located. 😉
