Hi, hoping to find out all i can from past and present owners of these rifles as im on the lookout for one. Ive shot the Redwolf many times and owned a couple but found them a long rifle for pest control hence the interest in the bullpup version. I have the Redwolf safari .22 in hp version which works on my long range perms like the golf course but closer range ratting and rabbits I'm liking the Pulsar idea.
I currently use my Ghost for the job but im getting unhappier with the trigger play which often results in misses.
I've looked on line and can't find anything really bad about them.
Any advice or experiences would be great. Thanks.

I bought one on a whim early last year and have been very happy with it indeed.

It’s a bit of a lump to cart about a perm but shoulders and handles well. Wonderful trigger, very accurate with most pellets. High shot count. Shot 55 on the last HFT with it.

It’s a fabulous rifle in so many ways.

Only downsides I’ve had :

It was rather too warm with JSB heavies ( at best !) and needed a specialist to tweak it down. This was done by SCR at most reasonable cost but not sure if this is still an option.

In use, it can go “safe “ of its own accord if left too long “ready to fire”. Can be annoying if this happens on aim but operating the “cocking” mechanism resolves this. It has anti double loading which is just as well!

There is a LED to confirm its ready to fire but it’s too fine and poorly placed to check when on aim.

Safety catch is rather noisy. You can not use it but risk the above timing out issue.

Muzzle report is very muted even without a moderator. I’ve à hugget which doesn’t scrub off much of the remaining noise. Probably get away without it.

Amazing rifles. It is just a bullpup redwolf.

Comfortable/quiet/pin point accurate (probably the most accurate rifles I've ever owned, and ive owned ALOT)

Triggers excellent. They hardly ever go wrong and very user friendly. Anti double load, built in cant bubble and no horrible ping in your ear unlike other bullpups..There are also some nice bonuses via the display such as shot count, mag count etc

A bit like myself, they look 'unique' and by that I mean ugly as hell but they do grow on you. Especially after you've owned one and appreciate what it's all about.

Put it this way, I've never met a disappointed Pulsar owner.

They are very good rifles. RedWolf was the follow on from Pulsar using the GCU2.
Super accurate, Huge shot count, quiet and very reliable.
Safety is a bit noisy but can be made much quieter and the auto-shut down is a pain but you get used to it.
Depending on what you intend to use it for the factory inter-rail is not great for Zulus NV/Thermal scopes but that can be got around. I have the grey laminate stock on mine and a couple of Tac stocks. They are all good, just depends on your taste. Always use quality leak-proof batteries and I suggest dump them once a year and a new pellet probe O ring at the same time. Other than that they are bomb proof. As mentioned above by @Countryman the Renegade is a great rifle to. Looks the same but just without the electronic hammer system, but keeps the same trigger. There is also a Renegade HR (Reg'd version) which is a real beast and keeps all the same features. Both Renegades run off a single 9v battery which saves some weight.

Ive always loved the Redwolf system hence the interest in the shorter Pulsar. I have the full length HP Redwolf which is great for long range shooting but want something smaller for ratting and closer hunting. The grey laminate stock is what im after too, i think its the nicer looking one. Im using the Ghost at the moment which works great but the trigger play is back and it really annoys me. I have done an upgrade to it but it still isnt great. I was also keen on the new Alphawolf Shadow but cant find any real reviews on it so going to hold back for now.

The Pulsar/Renegade platform makes a great ratting set-up. When there is some light tomorrow I'll shoot you a photo of my .22 Renegade/DNT Zulus set-up. Great combination and gets a lot of use around the farms.

That would be great thanks. Will the top rail take picatinny fitting ?

Close-up ratting gun.
.22 Renegade. Zulus V2 312lrf. BFB mod and FAB Defense grip and T-Pod. Hammer, barrel and safety worked on a bit but apart from that standard internals.

Very nice 👌I think the height of the Zulus would be too low for me personally, but the rails looks excellent, as good if not better than factory.

What rail have you used?

@joniship But I do get you're liking of the grey laminate stock. Very understated and subtle. I swap this one on to the Renegade for a change sometimes...when I get bored! :D

It's one of a set that were machined as prototypes in various heights. That particular one gives a digital channel height of 68mm to the optical centre which i find spot on. (y)

Interesting comment above that the Renegade uses the same electronic trigger as the Pulsar ? Or did i misread that.

Its the same mate it works off a 9v battery and got to say its the nicest trigger ive ever used tbh.
Thats really interesting. Unlike the Pulsar it wont go into sleep mode ? Going to read up i bit more on the Renegade 👍
