Have any of you had issues with pellets clipping in a C02 revolver before? I hadn’t until today, but when I was firing, the pellets were catching on a spring loaded section in the barrel that helps to bridge the gap between the shell and the barrel. The majority of the pellet was going down the barrel, but the piece that was clipped off then falls out the pistol or gets stuck in the barrel.
I examined the shells and the back of them were looking as if they were scraping against something as the brass finish had gone. I tried a couple of different pellets but it was clipping all of them. I then noticed that when you cock the pistol the cylinder wasn’t quite turning around enough to line up the shell with the barrel, if you physically helped the cylinder round that extra few degrees, it did fall into place and you could then fire an actual full pellet. But if you simply pulled back the hammer it would consistently fail to line up.
I tried to see what the mechanism did without shells inside, and the cylinder seemed to index perfectly without the shells. I’m wondering if the shop has got these shells mixed up with another gun, but looking online the Dan Wesson Pellet shells do look like the ones I have. Bit confused, I have emailed the shop and asked them for their repair or replacement process, but wondered if any of you have had similar issues?
