Daily Hello Thread

Good day all. Not able to get online easily as glasses of various liquids, savoury and sweet foodstuffs placed in front or vey near me and lack of willpower prevent - or at the very least, slow significantly - attempts to tear myself out of a chair and to get on line! 😥🤭😜

Woodcock, I had one in the garden, right in the corner against the hedge, looked exhausted, really hard to see as it was sitting near mixed shrubs, well disguised. Rushed in got the camera and took a photo of the area where it was sitting from the bedroom window. When I looked at the photo, could not see anything, must be there somewhere merging in against the shrubbery, nope it had flown off as I got the camera. Big disappointment.
Just put out a loaf of bread in two stages earlier- spread half a load around and then went back later to do the same- 50p Tesco loaf- along with water bowls changed and checked the fat ball feeders. My first ever table and chair bench tested yesterday (other than a few pellets at the 2025 AGF meet and once on a Berko range on my previous £80 .25 ) to use all ammo type to hand as recommended by the forum Californian marksman - as a base indication of what a rifle may or may not group like and what it likes. So my first bench rested in the garden. About 1-1.5" at 27M so stick with the Hades- (pic taken from the back of the cardboard after reversing it for other tests) just used my .25 for over a year, over the back of a chair- it was so heavy it was fine. But challenge now is to try and learn holds and see if I can get decent accuracy non bench rested as I don't want to sit at a table and use a bag rest. Results would be much poorer I am sure but hey ho. Am not competing with anyone. Might look into a barrel upgrade in time to .25 that way, that way, don't need two rifles. We have a low brick wall by the conservatory- if its near enough sit in a chair outside and put one leg out for support onto the low wall maybe. :) Just like James Coburn in the amazing movie Patt Garratt and Billy the Kid.

Our Flu and blocked sinus etc has shifted, Jees, took about ten days plus. Mr Boreham from your days hello - ok to ask what new item your purchased?

On the plus side no Xmas decorations were put up, so none to take down. As with my .25, any forum mods passing Herts on a day out and stuck without an airgun to borrow to go to the range, feel free to touch base. What's mine is yours, pellet wise. :)

Hello everyone I have decided to try a new idea 💡
It may fall flat on its face it may not.
The idea is simple this is the Daily hello thread if you pop on any day pop in here and just say hello.
The idea is so we all get to say hi to each other and
we then see who logs in and how frequently so I see how many active members we have.
So just pop in say hi say checking in etc.

Even if you are shy ☺️ or a lurker 👀 just say hi 👋

Please only do 1 comment a day in here.
Just joined up and looking forwards to getting back
Into air gunning !

Good morning fellow lead flatteners.
WTF? 2.40 in the sodding morning and I can't bloody sleep, frigging ear ache.
I need a vast amount of Scottish, liquid pain killer to sort that out but I left the bottle in my workshop and if I go out for it I'm guaranteed to find something to tinker with and that wouldn't make wifey very happy :)
