Good morning everyone.

Have a great Tuesday.

I've got to start to think about Christmas. I'm doing the cooking this year with one of my sons, we volunteered last Christmas after a few too many. I've basically put it to the back of my mind all year, but as the day now rapidly approaches, I'm slowly realising we may be out of our depth.

My son, who I spoke to yesterday, is of the opinion that we "wing it" on the day, he actually said to me, "don't worry, pressure makes diamonds". I think he's in denial.

Today I'm going to work out the menu, spread sheet all the ingredients and get this party started. What could possibly go wrong...

I agree with you, preparation is key.
Keep it simple unless you are well proficient...

If you intend to cook any fowl, try to keep the temperature a little lower and cooking time longer; remember to baste.

Preparing the vegetables from fresh, with help, is an opportunity for a friendly chat as long as you do it in time.

I wish you a happy cooking session with your son and maybe some extra family members?
