Good afternoon all. It is a balmy 34 degrees here and the beer is £2.77 for a pint with a very large head! Anyone know of any shooting ranges in the Tenerife area?
Another hot one here today, 98 +and no forecasted rain and I have a sprinkler line to repair. We are in the middle of the so called "Dog Days" of Summer. I remember my dogs digging a hole under the shrubbery and lay there most of the day. Speaking of Dogs I will tell you a true story for a change.
Sometimes when viewing that big Wave called "LIFE" one only sees the ebb of the wave as it heads out to sea. One time I was at a Rick Smith birddog training clinic, I raised Brittany Spaniels, but a guy had brought a Visla for Rick to work with in the clinic. The dog was 2 yrs old (a little old to begin training) and completely out of control and bit Rick on his hand, Rick picked him up by the collar, shook him rather vigorously and put him back on the line. Rick's hand was bleeding, and the owner was very upset that his dog was so out of control and apologized to Rick for the dog bite but told Rick how much he loved his dog. Rick said to him, "it is more important to respect your dog than love your dog". That has stuck with me all these years because it not only applies to dogs but to overall life. You can and should love your life but respecting it will help you have a better and more for filling life.
