Cutting the deck 2.1

Good shooting today chaps given the conditions 👏.

No shooting for me....we have just got back from shopping and it's blowing a proverbial gale!.

A bonus though.....got a few pellets while we were out. Not sure what gun I will use them in but at least they can be used to keep the guns ticking over (rather than squander the dearer brands).

Went well through my hw30 for 20 meters, especially for the money 👍

I did try some through my HW30 when I first bought it but it appears to like Superdomes at the moment.
No harm in giving them another go though.

Might even try them in the FWB 300s- as I can't hit much with it's usual pellets anyway!

Day 105 of 365………………..

Finished early because of heavy rain but that means back on the indoor for the daily cut. Started with the ProSport, standing with fore end supported and continued with the JSB exact RS which could have done with a few clicks left but decided to just hold off instead. Not the best shoot and a bit wobbly on the sticks this evening. Followed up with the little 30 and red dot and that was also not the best considering yesterday it was on fire so put it down to being just one of those days!

Bloody hell, a couple of days ago I was wearing a cap to stop my head burning, today its a woolly hat, bloody windy too hat for warmth.

2 cards for the .177 AAS200, 1 full cut and 1 partial.

back indoors..... HOT VIMTO TIME coffee.gif

Afternoon folks.
It's finally stopped raining and sun trying to poke it's head out, so grabbed the HW30 for a quick go.
......Blustery winds though!

First card resulted in 3x hits- the fourth shot being a full cut .
Put a second card up. Shouldn't have bothered. Lost track of the number of shots it took me to get a single nick (around 10, I think?).
Gave up at that stage. Now back inside for a hot Vimto.

Day 106 of 365…………………..

Nice and sunny but what a wind. I really wanted to shoot outside today but sadly my stands are not playing and decided to take a lie down! Anyhow it gave me the opportunity to revisit the same format as last night and prove to myself it was one of those days. Switched out to the Hades which I know is consistent in all the rifles and they were both back on form. The little 30 is not as hot as usual, but I think that’s more to do with the daylight and the red dot. I will pop a scope on at some point just to confirm my theory.

There was 2 cards left in the pack at the end so got the ProSport back out with the RS pellets and they would have been 2 shots each if I had remembered I needed to hold left slightly.

Day 107 of 365………………..

Gusty conditions but not as bad as yesterday and too nice not to shoot outside with the sun shining. Put out a set at 30 metres and set up the sticks. The 9, 8 and 7 were at the worst of the wind and trying to judge was quite hard. When aiming at the 7 it sliced the 6. Now back to clearing more timber.

Bit better weather, just a light breeze in the back garden today, .177 cr600, 2 cards, both single shot, 1 cut and one partial, don’t think the ace was lined up straight as missed the leading edge.

Then same gun for a game of darts , hhmmm some pellets tumbling sideways

I have not been shooting or following the thread for days ;( Hope you all well. A bit of a Hatsan experience for me, looking for a Carbine wood stock version of my current model. Exciting until saw that the end of the stock seemed warped and the exchange replacement rifle had a chunk out of the cheek piece so called the driver back to swap the cheek piece out and lost interest in it- Barrel cleaned but seemed all over the place with Bisley Pest, then swapped yesterday to H and N Field and had a fair little group on top left of box, then the six of clubs cut in two, seven and two of clubs partial in four, eight of clubs cut in five.. then seemed to go all over the place in the target box .. checked the scope mounts afterwards and they were a little loose.. so unsure if rifle is much good or not, or if was the scope mounts. Doubt it. Just tested with the old Reximex silencer I had on my pistol that I sold to a friend, to see if any noise improvement with a silencer- is just 15m.. was planning to see how the Carbine compares to my full length synthetic. Will have to go back through the last few days of the thread, to check the "shooting action"... :)
