Hi Guys and Girls

i recently purchased a Crosman Ratcatcher 2250 XL and was wondering on anyone's experience with the Grav Mag? single pellet is fine but if these are good i am lazy so it would help!

They can work well, depending on what pellets your 2250 likes. Not all pellets work well in them, despite having a variety of tubes. Being gravity fed, you have to tip them out if you want to put the gun down.

However, I found mine to be great fun, but my quest for accuracy took me away from the Crosman and to an S200.

i have a TX200 and a PCP for accuracy so it will mainly be a silly plinking toy. one gravmag on ebay for £20 might hang fire see if one comes up cheap

Just go for it, £20, if it includes 3 x tubes as mine did, is a good deal.
Ps As it turned out, my one liked Crosman Premier Domed best, so I would only have needed that one tube. RWS Superdomes were also good, but being much heavier had a more loopy trajectory.

Thanks for the info turns out its bids bid placed will see how it works out

If no joy, post up on here and I will list mine in the Sales section. I sold the rifle, but couldn’t find the Gravmag at the time. Ps you will need 50 meaningful posts before you get access to sales.

yeah someone said that to me not sure what the meaningful post bit is is it my own topics or just 50 comments that are not spam??

Not new threads, each “reply” in any thread. Just get stuck in and involved on any thread that piques your interest. Ask questions to educate yourself about the topic.

fair enough will do my best too working full time but i work in the motorcycle industry so plenty of time over winter

i will have to get one sorted by the sounds of it the 2250 XL was a impulse buy because it was on offer but most of my life is like that 😝

Be careful of 'double loading' mate. put the gun down, or have a chat with your mate & you could be shoving another another pellet up the the spout!
Apart from that.... they're pretty good. I've used one for a year with no other problem.

My Grav mag was a mixed result. Pellet fussy, and didn't have the confidence with it to use at night as it would jam when you are after a second shot. Quite "graunchy" cycle the mag. Mine is quite old though, the were two options for pellets (not only 0.177 and 0.22) but two relating topellet profile within the calibre size from memory. Quite well made though.

thanks for the info guys once its here i will use it in singe shot for a bit then look into a mag of somekind

The maker of the gravmag sadly passed away few months ago . Think
His dad is opening back up james website at some point. I had one of his earlier mag systems and wasn't keen on it . But the latest one he made work a treat . He sent me one of his gravmag5s and it's been through 1000s of pellets and works every time
