Love a HW45.I would love another one as I sold my silver star years ago .They are really expensive now and my next pistol is going to be a PCP I think

I'm impressed with the power, accuracy and build quality of my HW45 but I just love all of my other pistols more for some reason?!

To be honest I am a bit like that about my air pistols and air rifles full stop! lol.I will pick one up eventually if I can get one for around £200-250.Wouldnt want to pay much otherwise it creeps towards the the 500 quid price range for a target pcp. ....Oh Christ it never ends !🙈🤣🤣.Ideally I want them all!

What do you use it for ? Sitting pretty ,dispatch or target ? The reason I ask as I have seen one within my budget but I usually go .177 as I paper punch mostly.
it's mainly used for plinking / targets but if I did have it with me and there were any pests in the sheds or trees or within 15 yards in the field It would easily take fur or feather in. 22 with head shots 👍. I used to believe pistols should be 177 because of the lower ftlb I thought. 22 would be too low velocity, but when you get 5+ftlb in. 22 it really packs quite a punch for close range, I am converted thats for sure 👊

Thanks Tim ,I suppose the drop at a short distance wouldn't be evident either . Dammit you may have cost me some money !🤣

nope drop is fine I use rws 14.5g field line superdomes, just use it between 5 to 15 yards pistol distance and its really good, dont know what your experience is but hold them gently let them recoil and theyr really accurate 👍 you won't regret spending on one

I owned a .22 Silver Star for a while, a few years back. Fine pistol in many respects. Got the hang of shooting it, but never quite gel'd with it as much as with my old Webleys and Crosmans. Not comparing like-with-like I know....

I have a HW45 in .177 and I’m thinking of swapping it to .22 does it really make that much difference in terms of smoothness and overall refinement ?
I think it did make it less snappier, but can't really remember, didn't shoot it long in 177 Im a. 22 man so everything must be. 22 🤣
