CHROMED MK2 HW80 TYROLEAN..whats it worth?

now im not sure if this one IS chromed or polished.
did they do a chromed/polished version?
its just getten moved on/sticking it up for sale,not my cup of tea
the gun is here now,the stock is due in tomorrow so will update with some pics of the full gun.
also comes with a std stock,so not sure which way to list/sell it yet.
ill need to inspect it to see if theres any internal mods been done,check dates,year of manufacture etc
ive a couple of pics of the stock,doent look like a 'customs stock' one so ill be looking for info on it.

Hi Mick, I think (emphasis on think) there was a limited edition run of stainless 80's and 77's back in the late 80s/early 90s similar to the gold plated anniversary editions.

p.s. the Knight you worked on for me may have been a bugger to sort but by deity it's good!
 
For the right buyer, and without seeing it…. £400?

Awkward times right now, but Tyro and if it’s an old one maybe a little more?

You might consider selling it with both stocks in case the Tyro is a very bad fit. When I sold a tyro on an old target gun that is what I did. I thought the nose notch was for my top lip and you can see why. I was informed that no way did it fit as my nose should be in there. The rumour was the first 10 HW77’s were chromed, the Northern Arms weren’t full chromed they also did part Gold plated Versions, this was a Golden Eagle I once owned, as you can see they normally plated the trigger block, underlever, trigger blade and trigger guard

I have also seen a handful of chromed 77’s, they seemed to be popular in the 80’s at the height of tuning, something different to stand out from the crowd I suppose
The pictures will allow a better price estimate, the stock could be a Venom, Airmasters, Custom stocks so the stock may be where the value is

No idea on the stock a combination of various designs but the chroming looks to be of a good quality
 
Personally I think it’s polished steel whether it’s the pics but I’m sure I can see rub marks in some of the pics where the steel has been scored it’s still a fab looking rifle but I don’t think it’s chrome
 
Stock looks like it could have been made by a guy called Mark Marshall.
He made quite a few some years ago. His stocks were quite distinctive with the curve underneath the butt.
If not one of Mark's, possibly one of Warren Edwards, but it looks like one of Mark's.
It's certainly not from Custom Stock of Sheffield for sure.

What's also for certain, is its made for opens. Easily identified by the long butt section behind the tyro cheek piece.

I'll be sticking up up for sale later tonight most likely with both stocks .
