Thanks for the pictures Guys! There is a difference even within the same Mark with stock colouration. Very enjoyable and useful for reference, I am saving all the pics.

I'm not entirely sure which one would be considered best... my favourite is a Super Meteor MK4, single piece cocking arm and slightly larger stock. I will be looking for one in .177 later in the year.

I've a couple of Meteors, A mk1, A mk2 and a Mk5..

The Mk1 was nickel plated a long time ago!, .177" cal and made withing the first year as it has a steel cylinder cap..

The Mk2 also in .177" cal..

The Mk5 had a hard life but somehow shoots well!!

Here's a couple that I bought from a chap, He bought them from a scout group, There was four of them, Managed to get two half decent ones of the four!

Here's another with a different stock, The stock was modified to fit a Mk3 Meteor with the one piece cocking link, I fitted it's own stoch and moved it on, Hopefully one day i'll drop on another Mk3 meteor as the stock was very comfy, I still have the stock somewhere!

The above stock is th one on the right in this pic, It's quite a bit different to the standard Meteor stock!!

A friend on a welding forum knew i liked obscure stuff and sent me a cruciform type bayonet that was made to fit a Meteor Mk1!! 😮

John..

Hey I love your Meteors! The stock looks like an exaggerated Super Meteor stock? Very nice, all pretty unique.... the nickel plate one is pretty special, someone took a lot of effort to do that. Pics saved... the folder is filling nicely now.

Now that IS a collection of Meteors! Are they Buccaneers at the bottom of the second pic. You have a fantastic collection Sir!
Yes I have x3 buccaneer x2 scorpions and a shadow. Still on the hunt for the elusive trooper mate. Do have a few kicking about some other boxed ones not shown in picture and have added a spitfire, a 365 magnum and a couple more airsporter since that picture was taken, and 10 pcp in a different cabinet

One can never have enough rifles! Despite promising myself not to buy anymore until I have sorted storage I have purchased three this year already

I have a mk5 that was bought for me new by my late father. It’s the only gun I would never sell. The box and associated bits are n the loft.

Both grandsons have had plenty of fun shooting this one.

I'm a Meteor fan, mostly because my first rifle was a Meteor Evo (MK 8?). I rescued a MK 5 out the bargain bin at the RFD in .177 and after a new breech seal it's supremely accurate 👍

Thanks for the pics Guys, they are in the folder now! I am starting to think the Meteor is still a very popular rifle, possibly my favourite also. BSA missed a trick not making an S version!
