Just putting the finishing touches to the rifle I recently bought off the forum

Hawke Sidewinder SF30 8-32x56
Eagle Vision NMP-30 mounts
Hawke Carbon Fiber Pro Bipod
Rowan Engineering SSL

The rifle also have extended cheek riser posts, this was done by Nobby for the previous owner and the trigger has been upgraded to adjustable blade version again this was done before i got the rifle…

I’m off to BARPC tomorrow for a test run

I’ll probably add a nice moddy at some point, either a A&M Twink C or Eagle Vision Helia-S40 and some CARM mags 👍

Had a couple hours at BARPC, one issue, I run out of elevation at 30yards, was about 1mil low, so need to investigate that now im at home, ill take some measurement’s and then try reversing the mounts..

Seems accurate enough with JSB Heavy’s, was throwing a few flyers with JSB 8.44, I’ll pick up a few other pellets to test out next week 👍

Problem is the 16 mil elevation adjustment on the scope, had similar with two Optisan EVX with 15 mil adj. range on two separate S510US.

Combine with the stack height over bore and you run out of adjustment

Cheers. Adjustable mounts it is then 👍

Everything else looks fine, the scope is parallel and the rifle is at 11.3fpe with heavy’s. Just annoying I only bought the mounts last week 😂

I know some people hate doing this but would a small strip of film negative (or foil) sort it out? 🙂

My sniper favours FTT, and the Pathfinder QYS Streamlined, (which I must try in the sniper).
As I've posted before, I was not particularly impressed with the sniper groups until I found the right pellet.
I've been spoilt with the GX-40, that will use almost anything, and (probably) would group with old nails.

I would like to try and get it optically centered at 25 yards, so will need around 20-30moa

My mate had his Commander XR out today and he swears by FTT’s, so they are already on the list 👍

New mounts arrived

I’ve optically centred the scope and I’ll then raise the rear scope mounts to set a 25yard zero, I’ve got a set of feeler gauges I can use to help set the angle, I can do it in a somewhat controlled manner then 😂
