British Gas GRRRRRRRR.

My Dad has had to go to the ombudsman about "free smart meters". He paid BG to change the three old meters in his workshop. Each one goes to a different unit - they were about 3 metres up the wall so not easy to get to. After many visits and screw ups he finally gets them changed for smart meters.

Then he finds out they should have been free.

BG argue they are only free if they are upgrading an existing smart meter - which is complete bs. Dreadful. Last week they tried to double my DD. Boiled my wee and called them up and told them how much I was going to pay and no more.

British gas tried to take over my electricity supply without my consent way back at the beginning of march, how they could try this has never been established as i didn't ask and have never used them at all

They got my details wrong including my name, i fact all they had correct was my address, i was getting ever increasing bills from them despite still being with eon, still paying eon and even having a faulty meter changed by eon

Waste of time phoning british gas as very few of their customer service bods speak understandable english and i soon realised they were just on a fishing trip for my correct details anyway

The ombudsman took 2 months to get it sorted and reccomended bg paid me £100 in compensation the cheeky f☆▪︎¤ers took what i supposedly owed them from that and eventually sent me a check for 30 quid, remember i never asked to change to bg and had still been paying eon for my electricity 🤷🏼‍♂️

Now i am getting solicitors letters about my "debt" to British gas 🤣 feckem i say
