Boringly accurate...?

How can you call shooting a pellet, and it hitting where you aim, boring? That's the end game surely?A Pellet going where you want it to? I i ever think that I'll be bored with shooting, I'll sell up and get another hobby.

I own a MK3 TX200 , HW100kt, and S400 , All probably boringly accurate in the right hands , Not for me though. still learning the trade if you like :)

If i get to the boringly accurate bit , ill probly sell em and buy a pair of yakkers😀😀

"Boringly accurate" to me sounds like "I don't challenge myself"

Something said only by people who probably exclusively shoot 25 yard bench off a bipod/rest.

Start shooting it at 70, 80, 90 yards+, THEN see how accurate it still is.

Those lucky people who find their PCP boringly accurate should take up competition shooting as they’d obviously mop up all the prizes 😂
What planet are these people on 😂

The person who posted the comment actually used it to describe a springer ironically...

Is there such a thing as "boringly accurate"?

Not to me. There's boringly inaccurate, though. 🤣

Besides, should I get bored of deliberately hitting what I'm aiming at, I can always deliberately miss instead. 🤷‍♂️ I much prefer that game to accidentally hitting what you are consistently missing. 🤣

I think maybe the person behind the trigger may occasionally be boring
Or try to justify a new weapon 😏🤔👍😜

I agree with the sentiment that a rifle can't be boringly accurate as you can always find a more challenging stance / sized target and know it's you that is missing not the gun. Boringly inaccurate is entirely possible though as it quickly gets frustrating when you know you did everything right and it still misses (unless it's a gat, shooting a gat is never boring even if you do have to aim 18 inches low and 6 to the right to still miss that 6 yard Coke can 4 out of 5 shots).

it's the only way to hunt........with a boringly accurate rifle its's good for me and good for the vermin i'm aiming at. I don't get the OP's comment how can it be boring your'e just not challenging yourself if the rifle is strapped to the bench.... try standing and seated shots off the knee and see how you get on ;) you gotta make it interesting or you will get bored real quick. One love ❤️ Ali

My S400 was unchallenging out to 55yds so I sold it for a TX.
My spinners go to 60yds, top is 40mm, bottom is 20mm.
I shoot 40mm from 20-60yds then come back shooting the 20mm and that's really challenging with a springer.
When I hit 40+ yds 20mm with a TX/98 it's really nice.

I take the Cometa out in the woods standing freehand, that's extremely tough but when I connect it not boring. People can hear my Tarzan cry 5 miles away LOL.

Shooting 40mm spinners at 30 yds with a PCP is far too easy but not so with a springer, you must get everything right.

It might be work related so apologies but people often confuse tolerance and repeatability. A robot isn't accurate. But it can repeat what it did reliably: In this example - Accuracy and application. As others have said, if it's easy, push the boundaries and enjoy exploring how good you can be. All the whilst enjoying yourself. I can shoot a group at x yards. Extend range or if impractical, remove aids/ stand up. I'm neither an egg sucker nor a good shot so the challenge comes naturally 👍

Personally I think all this boringly accurate isB.S , at the end of the day it's what we the shooters demand and expect . Most tuning work is carried out to try and gain a nicer shot cycle to improve accuracy . Plus you can always make it harder by shooting smaller targets at long ranges ect . Or get your backside off a bench and shoot freehand .
I love someone who's straight to the point🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You can have the most accurate rifle in the world shooting same hole groups, but take that same rifle outdoors and push the distance and you’ll appreciate what the rifle can really do as you build your skill level dealing with cross winds. Much more rewarding and definitely not boring.

It was probably me that said boringly accurate, at my clubs range are over a hundred spinner targets spread outdoors. The gun in question was a tuned tx200 i used to go down to the range have a natter while shooting the spinners I found the gun knocked them down just as well as a pcp. Most springers are hold sensitive this wasn't. Nowadays i actually enjoy windy days as its much more of a challenge! Many years ago i used to shoot .22 bullet anshults target guns, I ended up hating it, paper punching to millimetres at 25yds just does not float my boat! I much prefer hunting out doors with an air rifle which is probably the ultimate challenge!

Wow... that's impressive 🤩

My guns are never boringly accurate,,the simple reason is I shoot in real world conditions around farms and paddocks,,even my zeroing is done in a field,. Maybe once a year I go to an outdoor range to meet a couple of mates where they have chairs and a bench, but that's a social banter gathering really,,however there's always regulars there using cradles etc and the only thing that moves is the tip of one finger,, Now that's boring.....IMO,
