Hi, does anybody know what's happened to the range in Middlesbrough. There website and Facebook page has closed down???

Thread 'Black Dog Air Rifle Range.'

Just a quick heads-up for anyone who shoots at the Black Dog Air Rifle range at Spennymoor Co Durham.

I have just received an e-mail informing that the range is being relocated to bigger and better facilities which are not quite complete at this moment. If anyone used the Spennymoor range on a drop-in basis (rather than booking) then please be aware the range is now closed.

The Teesside range is open as usual.

I’m looking forward to the new range. Sounds great.

TLDR: Bankrupt owner with multiple failed/struck off business’ banned from holding position of responsibility until next year closes third site in last year ish with no notice what so ever.
 
The reason I was given last week stated, they had to close due to a couple power supply failure, but expected to reopen soon!!!!!

Did the power failure affect Facebook and the website which are/were both hosted nowhere near the range, and in different paid/non paid platforms? Just if my business was down, and it wasn’t internal, National Grid would be working 24/7 to restore service - it’s happened before, I was rigged up to a generator and then a lamp post - and if it was internal then a sparky would be on site same day, very little including 3 phase you can’t source same day from a factors, so minimal down time. I would also be letting my customers know via my socials, lining up specials to get them back in over half term and give updates etc.

As usual with any of the Black Dog site closures, they all follow the same pattern, little or no notice, a magical spin on events via social media that doesn’t quite add up, but fits irrefutable events. This time the social media/website has gone too.

I would love to be wrong, but between the info on Companies House and the insolvency service, along with the other questionable aspects of the business (licences, claiming to be running as a LTD company for years after it was dissolved), it’s not looking good.
 
I had a booking for 2 lanes about the 20 march, and the day before my booking i got a message from Jade, ( think she was the owners daughter), saying that due to a power failure they would not be opening!!!. but i should keep an eye on there Facebook page for more information!!!. Apparently it had been closed since the 16th, but still took my booking on the 18th!!!!.
Its a real shame as I really liked the place and the people 😕

Cool. Ill have a look at that. I go past regularly enough. What's the air situation there?

Definitely going to be missed, I've been to Thimbleby shooting ground a couple of times, £10 and hour but only got 4 lanes and it gets really busy in the summer time so I've heard
