@Bazzatron, there is another option between the Sentinel and the T50i mentioned by @jfox61, which is the Vector Minotaur approx £150 cheaper, the big difference between these and the Sentinel is that they are both 50X and let you use 40X with little drop-off in performance.
The important thing to remember is don't max out the magnification on any scope.
I have sold my Sentinel and I now own the Vector Minotaur 10 to 50X, the Falcon T50i 5 to 50X, and the Falcon X50 at 10 to 50X; there's not a great deal of difference between them optically, especially in the center of the lens, where as I said earlier as a target shooter on a range that's all I'm interested in, there is a big difference in price between these scopes but I've paid for improvements I don't use or need
I also have a Sightron 36 X 45 fixed scope which is Very good opticaly but the reticual is so fine I can hardly see it, that's back in the box until I have my caterats fixed, if I still can't see it I guess It will be up for sale
