BBC TV Licence

Yes, cancelled mine years ago. Stopped watching BBC, C4 about 10 years ago as I couldn't stand all the BS and brainwashing, but still continued to buy a licence until about 5 years ago. I don;t watch any live TV, don't use any BBC service whatsoever including radio or website, and I don't miss it at all.

The BBC do a brilliant job with their propaganda "TV Detector vans"-complete nonsense, just a van with a bloke who has a list of unlicenced addresses. And "TV Licence enforcement officers" just a cold calling sales creep who should be instantly told to clear off (ruder suggestions may be appropriate)

Yeah cancelled years ago and even declared I didn't need one on their site just so I would stop recieving the junk mail threats.

Point to note, you have to tick a series of yes or no questions when trying to declare that you don't need one. The way they word each question is not very straight forward and it keeps trying to tell you that you need a TV licence. It's only valid for like 2 years but takes 5 mins.

Given the current situation at the Bullshite Broadcasting Company who has cancelled the T V Tax? I gave mine the shove years ago and have now saved over £750.00. I still watch lots of tv, there is so much quality tv on catch up, UTube, etc.
I’m embarrassed to say I only jumped on the wagon this year but instantly got £80 back 🥳
Boris made me laugh saying everyone should boycott payment until they answer to the Trump scandal, the Gaza scandal and there was another one I don’t remember .!
It’s absolutely ridiculous, they used to be something to be proud about and now they’ve sold out, hard times ahead hopefully for them 🤞 they deserve everything they get 🥴

They know people are stopping paying for a license, so the idea is to bring it into general taxation and charge everyone - it s a "license fee", a tax on TV not just the BBC rubbish
I suspect it won’t be long before it’s included in something like council tax.
With so many claiming they don’t watch any “live” broadcasts therefore don’t pay it I guess the money they are losing must be substantial and I can’t see that being allowed to continue.
