With the storm "Dave" due to hit Sweden tomorrow it might be time for some more basement shooting, especially if the storm does carry a lot of snow...

Here's my basement:

Can you see the target up to the left..?

Well, it's not long and it's not tidy either but it's surprisingly useful anyway. Some shooting is always better then no shooting, right? 😉

Here's one of my three basement guns, the bullpup modified Crosman 1701 PCP pistol:

Open sights is needed to present a challenge.

My bullpup is unfortunately set a tad too powerful shooting JSB Simply at 7 fpe. This of course will give fewer shots on a fill, more noise and lead splatting when I actually only need like half that amount. I will therfor reset it to 3-4 fpe.

After all the basement is just 5 meters long....😁

As many of you know my small house is just 10 x 4 meters and the basement is just half the length of the house..

Yeah!

Actually I know a guy who did just that when he made a new drainage for his lawn. With all machinery already present he just dropped a straight 300 diameter tube attached to the house basement. It had a vertical "well" in the end (placed into a hedge, at the end of the lawn), providing access to the far end and installed a 14 x 14 mm target transporter.

In total he got 9 meters in the basement + the attachment of 15 meters (the maximum length of his lawn in the backyard), providing a total of 24 meters.

The area was highly suburban in the outskirts of a large city and four properties had their backyards joined together with just a tiny 40 cm high hedge between them.

It was a perfect solution for him as at least 2 neighbors had small children playing in their own backyard with no fence present in between.

Now he shoots under ground 24/365 regardless of weather using a small fine collection of sub 8 fpe legal limit airguns, disturbing none and with perfect safety.
