I like the non-standard additions & tweaks!I still occasionally shoot my MK1 Wildcat .She's getting on a bit but still one of my favourites.

I couldn't find a foot stirrup or goats foot lever so made one from mild steel .I've since got the stirrup and an unused goatsfoot but prefer my diy version .I like the non-standard additions & tweaks!
Took me ages to locate a Barnet made goatsfoot then I found a 2nd one within about a week.I couldn't find a foot stirrup or goats foot lever so made one from mild steel .I've since got the stirrup and an unused goatsfoot but prefer my diy version .
My medieval crossbows are from him, but via a previous owner...or at least they're close enough in appearance to be outright copies!I think of I bought another crossbow now it would be something from Todd Cutler .Heakes an impressive range of medieval bows .Though you do pay for the quality .
looks like a chase wind bow ,good value for money theseThis is my one, not a Barnett, but a 185lb monster. At 6 yards it put a bolt through a piece of hardwood decking...

I have the same one, never gets used and is dismantled in the loftI seem to remember a particular Barnett ad with a blonde in not much camo and a military helmet looking a bit sweaty
Oh of course Lewis Collins but he didn’t have the same appeal to a teenage lad..
I have a Commando but rarely use the thing as it’s bloody lethal and frankly scares me a little

I was going to bid on it but that was a bit much on an unknown item. As I said in the OP, the plans to make one from scratch used to be available, can't believe no one has ever scanned and uploaded them, but looks like I may have to make it up as I goDepends on condition but for me that's not bad for a MK1 wildcat .As long as the stock wasn't cracked or the trigger sear bent id probably pay that . Replacement prods and strings are cheap enough .
Well sell it to me thenI seem to remember a particular Barnett ad with a blonde in not much camo and a military helmet looking a bit sweaty

A neighbour had an early TX200 a few years ago, he never used it and I kept pestering him to sell me it.In the end I gave up. A couple of years went by and I asked about it. "Oh, I gave it to thingy down the road". He gave it away!!!!! Clueless.Well sell it to me then
