Auto darkening welding mask

Ok so can anyone suggest a good auto darkening welding mask, needs a big screen and a lot of size adjustment as I’ve got a big head and wear glasses. I tried welding with my old one for the first time with glasses and it didn’t end well for the piece of work or the welding helmet. I would have been better off using a steel bucket as I had no vision at all.
 
My head is 59cm and I’ve found the Clarke brand from Machine Mart fine.
 
I bought this a while ago (I have a big head too, 63cm) and it works nicely…

I have an SIP Meteor which was £18 (but 20 years ago). Adjustable for sensitivity and level of darkness. I wear glasses for welding, so plenty of room. Have found that a strong work light shining onto the job helps a lot with vision. I've made a 500W outside light unit fitted onto a mobile vertically adjustable radial clothes line post (rest of it fell to bits) and that is ideal. An LED light would cost a lot less to run.
 
I bought a good helmet and the quality of my welds went staight up,
I would suggest you go to a steel and welding fabrication suppliers and have a look and try what they have for fitment,
 
I have £60 ISH parweld auto one and it's fair plenty of adjustments and I wear glasses, also get one that you can add a magnifying lens in, I use a 1.5 could do with bit more now.

I am a qualified welder and have used a few..

Best i have found is the speedglas ones. You can get a build in "glasses" lens that fits in the inside. You strike up the arc and it is like having the eyesight of a 21 year old again.

Was expensive, but would i buy another? Definitely yes
 
I rarely do any welding but found, like you, that I was blind to where the weld was going :ROFLMAO:
About 10 years ago, I bought a cheap auto mask off ebay, with as large a window as possible. Vast improvement and I would recommend anyone buying a welder to budget for a mask at the same time.
My brother was so impressed he immediately bought an identical mask himself
Only criticism, bifocals don't match with the window. I kept tilting my head to look through the reading portion, only to see the inside of the mask Homer face palm Cheap pair of single vision solved that
 
Absolute game changer for welding up rotten cars! I had a Speedglass that my SnapOn dealer had on offer, it was expensive at the time but absolutely amazing, right up until it got nicked 🤬, I dont do much welding these days, but I'd definately get another auto helmet
