My shooting buddy uses a Katran which is even better now since he ditched the factory magazines and bought after market ones.

If you're willing to spend near on 2k on a gun, id be seriously considering a day out to an RFD that has what I'm looking for in stock so I can shoulder them and try to make the right decision.
Its alot of money to gamble with on someone elses recommendation.
There must be an RFD with what you want in stock within a couple hundred miles?.
I'd travel way more than that if they had what I wanted and I could try before I buy.

Sounds like the perfect excuse for him to get to the shooting show next month

I have a Preist 2, it's my first PCP so nothing to compare it with, but I like it, it holds air and seems accurate enough, magazines are good, decent shot count, I would think the P3 is worth a look.

I'm lucky enough to own 2 FX Impact M4's - a standard length barrel version and one of the special edition M4 Micros. Both are excellent rifles. I've been buying FX rifles for 15 years and never had a problem with any of them, ever. I've had 8 in total and they have all been accurate, well built and faultless. I know others at the range who have the same very positive opinion of FX kit, so please don't be swayed by the few who for some reason seem to continually want to knock them. That being said, your list looks a little restricted if you don't mind me saying so. My Brocock Pathfinder XR is also an excellent rifle if you're looking for short and compact. I am very tempted to add one of the new carbine length HW110's as they appear to be a good choice. There are many great rifles out there that will do the job, but as has been said, I would handle them all before I spent a lot of money on one. Head to your local range and ask people who own them what they think, most will be happy to talk you through what they've got and many will let you handle and shoot them.

Have you considered the reximex lieva?, it's on my list but have to get rid of a couple of rifles before I can justify it 🙄

*Edit* Just reread your original post, buy three, one in each calibre.

Thank you for the additional input, I have been looking and seems like a road trip is on the cards to visit somewhere larger to be able to handle a few of the guns.
A few new options too so thank you for those, as certainly something else to consider when shouldering a few 👍🏼

Looks like a cheeky RFD day to plan in February, when the offspring and wife are busy!!!

Currently quite happy with the thermnight to be sitting on top of the new acquisition , so not going to worry about scopes……unless 🤨

I recently bought a used Daystate Wolverine R
Gotta say, I'm hugely impressed.
Massive shot count, very accurate & extremely lightweight.
It would make a banging hunting gun, they can be picked up for a good price.

Thanks to all that voted, certainly looks like the options I put aren’t as clear cut as I thought.
RFD visit further away planned for next month so maybe a HNGD announcement with something different after I’ve had opportunity to handle and possibly play with the new purchase.
Once again thanks for the forum hive input 👍🏼
