I made an aluminum end piece to do away with the lefthanded thingy.
I could perhaps make another but you would need the "nut" part.

@Neil54 What a gentleman! Thank you. Let me see if I can source a complete replacement first. And Ped is having a check of his toolbox for me. On the T Robb web shop, they too were out of stock of the nut part.

Your end cap looks like the one on the Walther/Umarex 2x12g-bulb adaptor for 88g bulbs.

That's a good idea, @JacquesC. So, try the end cap off of this? Good idea. And if it doesn't work, just return it to the supplier. Like it! I've got couple of other avenues to try first, so this is a good backup avenue to explore. Thank you.

Just to add - if you want to just use one caplet just put a used one in with a full one. I always put the new one in first but I don’t suppose it matters. When you screw on the cap it is the one that goes in last that is pierced and the one that goes in first is pierced at the first shot.
I use silicone Orings on the end cap and smear it with silicone grease.

I lost the end cap off mine the first time I used it. I opened the vent to degas it and closed it when the hissing stopped. Big mistake as there was clearly a bit of gas in there. Like yours it went into orbit never to be seen again. I fitted a bulk fill end cap to be able to fill from a fire extinguisher as per my QB78
If you can get an xs/qb 78 end cap that will work on the 501 but you would need to dry fire to remove the last bit of gas.

Hi @JacquesC. Unfortunately the end cap on this is a male thread that screws in to the wall of the hex body. Nice try though.
