Ap900 or Kral puncher K ?

I had my mind set on the Kral Puncher K but having been round to my mates yesterday and saw his AP900 combo its got me undecided now ..
Has anyone got both who can give me a heads up before I get one and then end up buying both ? @Bundy you bloody nuisance

I've owned an AP900. I've owned several Kral NP02 and have tried a Puncher K.

For me it'd be the Puncher K over the AP900 all day everyday. The AP is ok (if you can still get them at the £300 mark new) but really needs some fettling to get the best from it. Also, the finish on mine was really poor- paint flaking from the action if you even gave it a stern look

They’re both excellent rifles, I’ve had the 900, sold it on for no other reason than I didn’t need it for what it was intended.
I still have my Puncher K, faultless

As above, the 900 will need work to get the best from it, but not absolutely necessary as I did nothing with mine other than clean it straight from the box and I had no issues.
The overall finish on the K will be better

The AP900 is great for the price point if you need a tactical folding rifle but the Kral is by far a more robust and better built sporting rifle for the price . A little bit of a weight penalty but as I say far more robust

I agree Puncher k all day long. Love mine and wouldn't change it.

I stopped buying Chinese guns, the finish and material quality always failed to live up to the Turkish stuff when taken apart. Both were obviously built to a price point, and neither were exceptional, they all benefitted from a good de-grease, de-burr and a good polish, but the Turkish stuff was much easier to live with, and generally come with much nicer stocks imo.

So was mine. It was still a bit shit, to be honest

For £320 new, then much fettling and a (not cheap) shroud & mod from a former member on here, I may as well have just bought a Puncher K or Reximex Pretensis.

I own both. But none of them are in any way in standard, out of the box configuration. My Puncher K in walnut has had a Robert Lane regulator fitted, as well as the required tuning to suit. I have also fitted an NP02 front filler and fill gauge block with pressure gauge, as after the regulator fitting, the rear pressure gauge now only shows the regulator pressure. My AP900 and AP1000 have had both been tuned. I have made lighter hammers, hammer springs and more. The long and short of it I suppose is that the fit and finish of the Puncher K is far superior to the AP900, and is actually my favourite rifle, but every time a rat pops it head out, I grab my AP900. If you are only interested in untouched, out of the box performance, Puncher K all day long. But both can be improved.

Although I’ve not owned either l have shoot both and have to agree with the majority above that the Kral is way nicer in both looks and quality. Oh, and l would suggest too that it’s more accurate.

Had a few Krals they feel more solidly built than the AP1000 I have.

Kral triggers can be fettled to be better than the AP1000.

Snowpeak AP1000/900 magazines are much better than Kral mags.

Design wise the 1000/900 has many good features. Air release valve, fill valve cover, larger air gauge, easy to strip.

I dumped the Kral shroud on a Empire xs to improve accuracy. I've kept the Snowpeak shroud and silencer on.

I don't have anymore Krals, but I'm keeping my Snowpeak AP 1000 .177, as its racking up a good quarry count since I bought it new a few months ago.

Being a complete newbie and having only ever fired springers, Ive been looking at getting a puncher k as a first dabble into the mystical world of PCP's. Does adding a regulator add much to the party?? I appreciate it will up the shot count. But will it improve groupings / accuracy etc? Ive also heard that the full size puncher was a bit nose heavy, but that the K is nicely balanced. Does a regulator upset the balance much??

I've had my K for a few months now. I had it Nobbied because I found getting a decent sight picture was a problem for me. The riser improved it no end, and it looks bloody great, thanks to Nobby .
The Kral mags work fine but the Carm ones I bought don't, for whatever reason. Is it pellet on pellet at 25 yds...no, and I can't say I've overly pellet tested myself, but it groups well enough at that distance to go hunting if required.
I don't like the tactical stuff so K all day for me. I'm happy enough with it for a beginner
