Picked up this nice knife at the local car boot, it was hiding amongst some old rusty tools, obviously from a house clearance. It looked very unloved, being covered in a tacky type of brown carpet adhesive, it wouldn't even open. I paid a very small sum and took it home where I found it can be completely taken apart. It's held together by tiny hex screws and castellated screw and nut which holds the blade
After a good soak in white spirit for the metalwork and linseed oil for the wood scales, reassembly and a final polish with Autosol it looks as good as new, no wear at all and operates very smoothly with a small flick of the wrist.
