Hey everyone,
I’m new to the air rifle scene and expecting my first rifle to come this weekend. I'm looking for some good ranges in the Suffolk or Essex region — indoor or outdoor. Ideally somewhere beginner-friendly where I can get some practice in and maybe pick up a few tips from more experienced shooters.

Any recommendations would be really appreciated!

Pete’s Airgun Farm is the easiest to recommend. You’ll need insurance (which you can find here on this site) and you’ll need to do an induction. You can shoot there 24/7/365 and there’s always someone there who will be happy to offer advice

Pete's is great. So many nice folks there. 35 and 50yd indoor ranges. 75yd outdoor with high targets. And a pistol range.

My wife, my eldest lad and I joined earlier this year and everyone has been really helpful. Especially giving advice to my son. He's 13 and they've really taken him under their wing 😁

I can't recommend it enough.

Welcome to the Forum. Start you're new hobby with an open mind and a willingness to learn and you won't go wrong. Take your time and don't be afraid to ask questions. Just to warn you, shooting can become very addictive. :)

I've got an induction at Pete's tomorrow morning. I'll let you know how I get on.
That would be great thank
Hi and welcome, all good advice above, see the link to the forums range database (above).
Petes airgun farm is a good shout, went there myself a few times pre covid, but not since I moved further away.
Its about an hour away from me , ideally I'd like somewhere a little closer but I will give it a go any way , once I have my rifle 👍

I have a two hour drive to get down there, but for the ability to be there for a literal day and the facilities they’ve got for some hardcore pellet/rifle testing they’re worth joining

These days I tend to shoot at my local club predominantly, but use Pete’s for specific testing or if I’m dropping anyone off at Stansted. Being able to just post up there for hours on end is great when I’ve been off the rifle for a couple of weeks and need to get back into it
