Air arm s400 burrs at loading port

Hi all just a question on what exactly should this area look like ie the small radius either side of the loading port , where it finishes up against the brass bush as you can see off the pics the ends of the radius on mine are bent backwards the left hand one being sharp and did take a small piece off my nail which is how I noticed it . I have been in touch with arm arms and have sent it back for there attention . I was just wandering if some kind person would post a picture of this area on a s400 for comparison. Thankyou .

Based on the AA logo, that's a new gun? I have two I can photo if you'd like but they are both older.

New logo, but the probe housing is the exact same. It is clear the OP has a poorly finished housing and does right to send it back.

Had my gun back today from air arms not impressed at all. Here are the pics of the one I sent back which they admitted was faulty along side the one they returned to me when I questioned the burrs that are still there they told me this is how they have looked for 20 years saying if I am not happy to return it to where I bought it for refund .

The top one is the one air arms replaced my original one with “they have been like this for 20 years “

Are the burrs catching the pellet? If not, and the rifle is very accurate, I'd leave it alone. Only other option is to send it back to the store and show them the images from this thread to highlight the difference between your rifle and other rifles.

How do you find the shot count?
I bought a used S400 recently
I've only done 1x session with it, but I was surprised at the very low (or it seemed to be) shot count before the pellets started dropping.
I am going to give the barrel a good clean before I try it again.
There is no air leak as far as I can tell.

About 60 in .177
80 .22 this is for a carbine, obviously more for the rifle
How old is it ?
Might just need an internal clean

I had build quality issues with AA recently on a brand new TX HC. Didn’t bother AA just went back to the RFD and p/x it for a HW35K. Never had build quality issues with any Weihrauch. I know what camp I’m in going forwards

Wow. They could’ve sorted that 5 mins with needle file and touch up, or inspect the in the white parts before anodising!
