Hi All,

Has anyone got a source (other than talon tunes) for a heavier hammer spring for the v3?

.22 700mm

Judging by my velocity drop off my reg is at 150-160 (1/4 turn up from where it came to me)

My hammer is wound all the way in to almost binding

I’m pushing 30gn at 980 (8fps spread over 15 shots)

Got somewhere around 40 shots from a 240bar fill down to 150

It _feels_ like with a bit more hammer spring I could hit the magic 1000-1050 but I am also happy to be corrected on this assumption

measure your hammer spring od, id, length and wire diameter then go on ebay and get one with a slightly thicker wire diameter

Back your hammer off a bit might increase. Or turn reg down to 140 ish
I turned the reg up 1/4 turn as I wasn’t getting them past 880 odd and backing the hammer off seemed to drop the fps as expected.
However I’ll give it a go knocking the reg back a 1/8th turn or so and see what happens 👍

Strange is this ive seen v3 in 22 with std reg settings still achieve over 1000 in .22
I know, that’s what’s flummoxing me a bit. I’ve seen people run 34gn at 1000 or so.
I’ve backed the reg off a smidge and backed the hammer off and it’s slinging 30.5 at 960odd and air usage seems to have settled back so will probably just (try) and leave it alone now!

It’s minute of bunny rabbit which is fine but I’m always going to wonder…. 🤣

The circled group is 10 shots at 47m and it’s blowing 15-20mph here so I’ll take it

Video is 91m

My findings with my,25 V3 are.
Standard spring is 1.2 mm wire, 8 coils and 34mm free length. 10mm external and 7.5 internal.
I've found that the gun will only just cock with the adjuster wound in 15 turns and 13.5 turns gave me the best results.
I have adjusted the reg from 12 o'clock to about 20 minutes to, but no idea what the pressure is.
I've got four springs of various strengths and eventually found something on eBay.
It's 1.5mm wire , 10mm outer , 33mm free length and 9 coils.
This spring is slightly short and has to be wound in 14 turns in order to get 990 fps with 37g zans and 950 fps with 41g zans
Not really checked shot count but it's not many, maybe 40 at a push?.
I've since found out that the impact hammer spring is a good choice but needs cutting down. Part number 11500 .
Hopefully this information will help you out 🤞

Thank you for taking the time to write this up, this is very helpful, I measured the wire on mine at 1mm (it’s possible I measured wrong but did use two calipers)

I’ve got a few incoming from flexo-springs so might tinker and see

I’ll test the 30’s out at 100 though on a calmer day and see how they group

40 shots would be adequate…. I get about 16 from my .25 Panthera 🤣

No worries mate, I found very little info when trying to get mine sorted.
Hopefully this thread will come up in online searches for others as well 🤞
Maybe my.25 uses a slightly stronger spring 🤔.
One minus to upping the power is the noise!
Mine now makes loads more noise than my.22 rimfire and that's with the standard mod fitted ☹️

Yeah my Panthera is uncomfortable without a mod, that’s slinging 50gn at 900.
This is meant to be my rabbit rifle so a bit slower and quieter isn’t a bad thing
