AGF Discounts

I've been looking at our pricing online (and in store) and given the current climate of everything going up in price.

I've decided to discount our range of pellets but then give a further discount to AGF!

The discount would Give members a 10% discount on any amount of pellets!

if you would like to purchase what we class as an outer (50 tins .177 , 25tins .22) then message me and ill see what price we can do.

Im also working on other items we stock or can stock to see what i can do with offers

AGTF10 - 10% Discount off pellets

Cheers for this, shall be parting with cash

I just wanted to raise something that’s been bothering me lately regarding the discount code I provide to forum members.

The intention behind offering a discount is to give something back to the community — to people who contribute, share knowledge, and help keep the forum active and valuable. It’s not really meant as a free-for-all for anyone to sign up, take the code, and disappear.

Unfortunately, it’s become clear that some people are doing exactly that. Signing up purely to access the discount, with no intention of contributing at all. Even more frustrating, one recent experience involved someone using the code and then making a series of unreasonable requests afterwards, which frankly put a bit of a dampener on what should’ve been a good Easter weekend.

I’m always happy to help customers and go the extra mile where it’s fair, but situations like that make it difficult to keep offering these kinds of perks in good faith.

As a result, I’ve currently reduced the general forum discount to 5% (AGTF5). However, I’m more than happy to offer individual 10% codes to regular, contributing members of the forum — the people this was always intended for.

I’m not saying this applies to everyone — far from it — most of you are great and that’s exactly why the code exists. But I do think it’s worth highlighting, as it takes advantage of something that’s meant to support the community.

Going forward, I may need to review how the code is shared or used to make sure it benefits the people it was intended for.

Appreciate everyone who genuinely contributes 👍

Hi. Shame, theres always people come along to spoil things for others. Fair play for offering anything at all though.

Fair enough. Any discount on top of your decent prices is welcome. I recently bought a stash of pellets from you, the service was excellent and the price was unbeatable!

Bravo - very reasonable response imo. Maybe require us to message you to request a code and you can then decide what to offer?

Maybe you can see if you can get it as a sticky in the sales forum. Forces the standing 50 post requirement to get access to it with no extra wok from yourself. Don’t know if that breaks any sponsor rules though. Also doesn’t stop others posting it elsewhere in the forum etc. so not perfect.

Think for now that would be the best way of doing it. If anyone wants a code i can make a unique one. i can then also see if the codes are being passed around etc.

Not sure how id set that up, but for now i will do unique codes for people.

Danny, I am sorry your good nature has been taken advantage of. Your prices and standard discount structure are already competitive and no complaints on bulk pellet packaging, ever. While things sometimes fall over if stock isn’t correct and some knob clears you out of something (er…. that would be me), you’ve always been more than quick to sort dispatches and more than fair when I have reached out - I still rock a AT&G patch on my EDC bag that you chucked in last time, though some so and so nicked the one off my range bag! While I certainly don’t order the volume of lead I used to (from anyone), before the forum you weren’t even on my radar, so hopefully it’s benefited AT&G overall. Moving to personal codes is probably a better way of tracking who is ordering and in what volume as well as keeping abuse to a minimum, then review and see how it works.

Whatever you decide, please know that those of us who use you appreciate the gesture and support on here. Like many over the years, I choose to buy from suppliers I know/trust, and if I am honest, that’s probably got less to do with a discount code and more to do with knowing how the people behind the name deal with the usual minor issues that can crop up.

Hope the rest of the Easter weekend was better 👍

There’s always one that spoils it. Unfortunately it then has an impact on genuine people.

All my dealings with Anglia Tackle and Gun, and Dan have been positive, it’s an excellent shop, with a great range of goods and fantastic service. It’s not my nearest Airgun shop, but it’s the only one I use.
