Additional blank firers, top venting, certain Bruni models now also prohibited

I was actually going to buy one of these. I liked the shell ejecting.
So there are no top sliding shell ejecting blank firing guns legal now then?

I watch YouTube videos made in the states, they get to have so many fun things legally.
The UK laws can suck at times :(

The prison sentences are over the 5 year minimum for firearm possession.
These Prats making them are making them only to hurt/kill people. So I think let them rot

At the moment you’ll be pretty well limited to the second hand market for an older model from some manufacturer (but obviously not anything covered by a Home Office ban at any point). It’ll take a bit of sorting, but others will return in time I’d imagine (unless the manufacturers just get too peed off with the UK they seem it not worth the trouble).

I do see a blanket ban coming in for blank firing replicas. Maybe only allowing them for mil events. Or completely changing the way the blanks are help within the gun so its just as hard to convert as it is to convert a cap gun lol

Some cap guns were banned believe it or not.

There used to be a brand that used the cap to fire a projectile . I was want one as a child in the late 1970s and when I had saved enough pocket money to buy one I went to the shop to he told they were banned .

My mum asked why and was told the trading standards came in and seized them . They were seized as the caps fired the plastic bullets out and where prohibited .

This one is similar but the one I wanted was all black .

You can still buy the cap guns now and there is videos on YouTube of people modifying them.

Back in the day, and probably around the early eighties I inherited a toy SLR that fired plastic bullets fired by caps... it was ace but of course I eventually lost all the plastic bullets it came with... My brother and the dog were both happy I had run out

I read on a forum years ago these ones were initially prohibited due to a child being hit in the eye then they discovered they were in breach of the Firearms Act but I can't confirm that but I could see it being possible as it uses an explosive to protect a projectile .

Caps are listed as a danger to hearing also .

What about dog training, theatre and filming, reenactment etc? Wouldn't put it past this govt but seems like they have bigger fish to fry, especially if the stopping of the importation of bruni and turkish ones lowers the numbers of converts. Easier than a legislation change
