Judging by the posts & replys on the forum there is a small army of us and more the merrier, as someone who now has airguns (12fp)only it's good to be a part of it, one niggle I have is the negative reference to what our ammo is molded from jmho

Until they come up with a viable alternative just ignore them Mate!

Lead is a natural material, it's not like we are inventing it, it was there already. I understand we are spreading it, and in some cases into waterways and food chains, but this is by far more applicable to anglers and shotguns, we in comparison don't spread much at all on the natural landscape, and most of ours ends up in ranges in a very small area.

It's on the cards though, but will be years to get here, and even then, just who is going to check out what your shooting and where??

Just ignore it for now, or even better, lend a hand in the fight through a donation to the likes of BASC ;)

The stats went with the old forum but, off the top of my head, I think airgun lead accounted for about 1% of the pollution compared to the shotguns total. Shotties can blow (almost) anything down the bore but airguns evolved to use only lead. Everything else is a compromise.
