A bit of History about Yunker & Cybergun co2 bb 'AK47' air rifles

There's a Real Sword Type 56 for sale. A rare gun (my 'research' suggests that the 56-2 is most common, followed by the 56-1 and then the 56. In fact, this is the first one `i've seen for sale since I bought mine abouy 3 years ago.

Question - What's even rarer than a Tyrex?
Answer - A boxed MMG Kedr! 😮 😎

I managed to get hold of this last week and it was delivered today, a boxed factory inert MMG Kedr with pouch, sling and a couple of magazines. Only 4 of these were brought into the country by Rusmilitary. I'll do some decent comparison pics with this and the Tyrex when I get chance.

Yes, it's a rare thing 😊
An exceptional find - congratulations!
Thanks 😊
The sling and pouch are accessories that the previous owner located. I'll have to take some good comparison shots.
This is from the Rusmilitary website - they are still showing but sold out years ago.

Very simple gun - not much to them.

Lovely. You must have been very good for Santa to bring you that 😂
What is the deact specification in France?
This one has the so-called "luxury" EU deactivation, that is the bolt can still be operated, but the trigger can't be pressed. Other than that the folding stock is still operational, as are the muzzle device and the rear sight. It cannot be disassembled.

All legal MP40s had to be deactivated although some of them had been turned into legal semi-auto guns. So, if you do want a live-firing MP40, you have to fall back on a GSG look-alike Shrug tt

That's what we call 'new spec' over here. The Chinese Type 56 I showed a page or so ago is new spec - bolt moves under spring pressure, trigger & fire select move but doesn't dry fire or strip.

That's a fine gun - is it full auto?
A few years back, my local gunsmith was selling a full auto blank firing STG44 - I wish I had bought it.
No , not full auto. Actually I've never fired it, theres very few places I can take something like this to try. It would have to be on private land , farm land for instance with owners permission. We have strict laws here in the UK.

You can fire it anywhere you like on bonfire night!
After this ww2 German diversion we should get back to talking about Russian & Chinese post war guns with connections to real firearms - don't want to de-rail the thread too much 😊👍

Not much info about, but I Found this page about the Kedr MMG. From what I have managed to translate it looks like only 100 were made.

Took me long enough to do it @nikvanorton but just had my gen 1 type 56 out for its annual wipe over so took some pics

Be interesting what folk think

More pics. 2ND pic here shows the markings on the rear sight leaf. Sure I've seen something on this thread about the style of the number 6
