Hi guys, thinking of getting a pump action hushpower shotgun but torn between either a 410 or 20 bore. Does anyone have any suggestions?

After my friend had a .410 in fact two people had them, I would have a 20g but it really depends on what you are shooting and where. The 20g low noise shells may not be so easy to buy though.

i have never seen a 20g hushpower

You can get them. Screenshot_20260308_143055_Samsung Internet.webp

Iv had every huspower going the 20 pedretti single is the quietest 20 kirklees have my old one in it was amazing. .410 not great range , 20 pump mossberg rediculous to use 20 o/u a drain pipe 20 single pedretti 20 is my choice

I have a 20 and a ‘quiet’ .410.
The 20 is a general use gun and I prefer it to my 12 bore.
The .410 is really good around pens and when I want to keep things quiet. In time the .410 will have to use Bismouth or something else as it’s fully choked or I will have the choke reduced.
Probably easier just to use Bismouths as it’s light use.

If I was choosing just one it would be a 20 bore as it’s more versatile.

I've got both,,(mossys) 20 obviously packs more punch but is considerably louder,,around the farmyard I tend to grab the 410 with no5 shot,,as said though it might be hard to get carts when lead ban comes,,that said though you may pick one up cheap for that reason and stockpile a bit of ammo,,,😉

Got a 20 bore hushy pump takes some getting used to with the silencer on it ! As for carts I load my own

If going for the .410 the Baikal hushpower with the long barrel is the one to have, mine holds the pattern very well. The .410 pedretti folder I have is very short just legal barrel length and has a very poor pattern
