Weapon wise he faked a shotgun certificate to buy a shotgun and planned a mass shooting, He shot his mum, brother and sister and was caught.
Mental health wise. I believe he is autistic or similar and was groomed/radicalised online. He was playing video games where you could shoot children and he planned to go to a school and shoot around 30+ plus people.

Nicholas Prosper jailed for at least 49 years for Luton triple murders
After killing his family in their tower block in Luton, Nicholas Prosper planned to carry out a mass shooting at his former primary school.

Prosper refused to engage with mental health services.
We have also heard about Prosper refusing to engage with mental health services over a potential Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis.
This had been recommended by both his parents and teachers, and a referral was made to the local Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services team, but nothing came of it.
"Although autism was suspected and you seemed to be overwhelmed by social interaction and unco-operative in lessons, you resisted assessment or intervention," the judge said.
However, after his guilty pleas a consultant forensic psychiatrist examined Prosper in custody and their pre-sentence report, read in court on Tuesday, concluded the 19-year-old had mild ASD traits, including having "persistent deficits" in social communication and interaction.
He also found the killer had an "extreme lack" of empathy for others.
The judge continued: "These explain almost all the abnormal aspects of the way you related to people and obsessed about things you were interested in such as school shootings and serial killers.
"The internet facilitated this through the free availability of imagery and commentary."
She concluded there was an indirect connection between Prosper's ASD and his offending, but "it is important to note that your ASD does not correlate to an increased risk of violence".

People would probably never think of making sure the certificate is legit or even know how to check it.
Even the AWC (Scottish airgun licensing ) has the markings on the certs.
I would not have sold him anything firearms related if he was acting like he was on camera when buying the shotgun.
He tried to buy one before and if i remember right the seller pulled out of the sale . If the seller had suspected him of being dodgy then its a pity they did not report him

- July 2024 - Starts researching St Joseph's Catholic Primary School, where he'd attended
- August 2024 - Tries to buy a gun but fails
- 30 August - Contacts another gun seller, offering £600 for a gun and cartridges
- 31 August - Further researches on the school
- 12 September - Gun seller meets him at Leabank and he purchases the weapon and ammunition for £650
- 13 September - Murders his mum and siblings at 05:00, before being arrested by police at about 07:55
- 17 September - Discloses to prison nurse his plan had been to carry out a school shooting
He even considered stabbing the seller of the shotgun he bought but did not go through with it as his wife was there apparently.

I've never watched the program before (I don't watch any TV really), but I happened to catch this when aired last as the missus had it on.
My god - it was disturbing on so many levels.
The detachment, the obsession with (child!) video game characters, the desire to beat the record for the most kids killed in a school shooting, even the way he spoke.
Definitely on the spectrum, and led down a very dark path indeed.
