Why do springers top out at around 30ft/lbs?

Not got a Hatsan 135 with a 30mm piston but have a 125 .25 with a 29mm piston and AFAIK identical everywhere else. Its an absolute Pussycat sends marksman no 3s at 11.2ftlbs its so soft to cock and smooth to shoot, give that gun to the average springer owner today it would be stripped and de...

Why do springers top out at around 30ft/lbs?

100% agree only i am not interested in fac PCPs either. I have RF and CF cals on FAC, and as sure as i am i could get a 20ftlb on my FAC a humble .22LR is lighter as accurate and a lot less faffing about with air tanks etc than a fac springer, ill just stay sub 12 where air guns are concerned...

Why do springers top out at around 30ft/lbs?

I think the multi chamber angle on the springers is the way forward for power. say two 30ftlbs hatsans or big gamos might make 40ftlbs not sure a 60mm single chamber gun would make that.

Why do springers top out at around 30ft/lbs?

I was 2400 and H110 the bullets were Hordaday Hornets they seemed to work better on target to me, was a genuine 180 yard gun i was runing it as a night vision gun on the old starlight products aurora set up i had back then, gave up on night vision all together a personal thing. Just went back...

Why do springers top out at around 30ft/lbs?

Trouble with the Hornet is the cases in .223 , the .17 might have lighter projectiles but the efficiency thing re bore size/ presure gets in the way again. With the Hornet just keep it steady away on speeds start chasing 222 velocities and you get case issues extraction issues etc its a hiding...

Why do springers top out at around 30ft/lbs?

Siamese chambers? Long before the WWW i swear i read about one of these , was two airporters or two mark 3 webleys one barrel .dont remember any Ftlbs figures but remember it compared it to a .22 LR BSA Supersport and Imperial Std velocity rimfire ammo which was well over 3x the power...

    HW77 .22

I do not own a HW77, but have HW97K in .22 and a HW57 in .22 and many other HW.22s over years in the past, and the Jumbo RS 13.43 grains are a go to pellet in all of them. They are Lightish for cal but work well even out to over 40 yards. The typical 16 grain .22 area i find is a sort of...
