I'm looking for a good quality edc slip joint uk legal knife.

I like the sog terminus sj, but no idea if it's any good.

I'd like good steel so it holds a good edge.

I would go with this - or the V2. I have both and I really like them. There is one LNIB on the faceache group for £115 delivered. Just waiting for the V3 to arrive.

Slightly smaller I would go with the spyderco urban light or pingo - very light and unobtrusive.

As suggested, Hennie has loads on their website, depending on which style you like.

For me though, no matter how much I try and get over to the single blade, I tend to carry some sort of SAK.

It has one of the strongest back springs for a slipjoint and Stick a thumb stud on it for one hand opening then it’s a perfect UK legal EDC … Oh and it is available in some nice steels for cheap money.I think Moonraker knives are the only people who have the good steels in stock
 
I might be wrong but I didn't think there was a UK legal edc knife. If the Police want to nick you for carrying they will and leave it up to the courts to decide if you have good reason etc.

I remember the case of the carpenter standing on a train station platform with his tool bag, he was searched and arrested and charged for carrying a stanley knife together with his chisels in a public place.

He was later found not guilty in court but spent 6 hours locked up and lost a days pay.

Under 3” and non locking are perfectly fine to carry aslong as you don’t start waving it around in public,For a start a Stanley is not a non locking knife 🙄 but if he has good reason to carry it or needed for his job then there should not be a problem “officer”

lets not turn this thread into a legal/illegal thread.....For me though, "under 3 inches and non locking" is classed as an EDC knife in my book. I am sure there was another thread recently discussing this and how grey it all is.

I would say lets stick with recommending the OP with knives for this thread.
